How rare is the seven-leaf flower?

A plant with a strange name and mysterious appearance, once considered a legend, has now been confirmed, opening up new hope for conservationists and biological researchers.

Paris polyphylla Smith is a herbaceous plant with the scientific name Paris polyphylla Smith. As a perennial herb, Paris polyphylla Smith is about 0.5 - 0.7m tall and the middle of the stem usually has 7 leaves (can be less or more). Photo: suckhoedoisong.

The stem and roots of the Seven-leafed Flower are large, grow horizontally, have many segments, and have horizontal ridges and scars. They have upright, unbranched aerial stems, are green or purple, and have a layer of round leaves with long petioles. Photo: Laborer.

The Seven-leafed Flower is listed in the Vietnam Red Book as "Endangered" (EN) and group IIA according to the Government's Decree on the management of endangered, precious and rare forest plants and animals and the implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
