How rare is the seven-leaf flower?

A plant with a strange name and mysterious appearance, once considered a legend, has now been confirmed, opening up new hope for conservationists and biological researchers.

The Seven-leafed Flower is listed in the Vietnam Red Book as "Endangered" (EN) and group IIA according to the Government's Decree on the management of endangered, precious and rare forest plants and animals and the implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. Because the Seven-leaf Flower has high value in preventing and treating diseases, the demand for using this precious medicinal plant as medicine is increasing. Each kilogram of stem and root of this plant costs about 2.5 million VND. Accordingly, many families in Vietnam have grown this rare medicinal plant to bring in high economic value.
