Change of time to organize "Cultural Heritage Week of Dak Lak Province's Ethnic Groups in 2025" due to weather reasons

On November 17, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Notice No. 0105/TB-SVHTTDL on changing the opening and closing time of the "Cultural Heritage Week of Ethnic Groups of Dak Lak Province in 2025".

Previously, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a plan to organize "Cultural Heritage Week of Dak Lak Province's Ethnic Groups in 2025" with the theme "Echoes of Gongs - Connecting the Community" from November 18 to November 23, 2025.

The "Dak Lak Province Ethnic Cultural Heritage Week 2025," themed "The Resounding Gong - Connecting Communities," will include 7 main activities and 6 supporting activities, taking place at the Dak Lak Museum (Buon Ma Thuot ward) and the Phu Yen Museum (Tuy Hoa ward).

However, due to the recent heavy rains, very heavy rains and prolonged thunderstorms in the province, causing flooding and landslides in some localities. Therefore, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to change the time of organizing the "Cultural Heritage Week of Dak Lak Province in 2025". Change the opening time from 7:30 p.m. on November 18 to 7:30 p.m. on November 22, 2025; change the closing time from 7:30 p.m. on November 23 to 7:30 p.m. on November 24, 2025. Other contents remain the same as the previous plan.

"Dak Lak Ethnic Cultural Heritage Week 2025" includes 7 main activities and 6 response activities such as: Conference to summarize 20 years of the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space being recognized by UNESCO (2005 - 2025); Opening ceremony with the theme "Echo of Gong - Connecting the community"; Festival of Gong Culture and Traditional Musical Instruments of Dak Lak Ethnic Groups; Cultural, Tourism and Culinary Space "Colors of Dak Lak Ethnic Groups".

The response activities are also very rich and unique, including: Photo exhibition with the theme "Echoes of the Great Forest" at Dak Lak Museum, Dragon and Lion Dance Festival of Dak Lak province, Street art performance on Phan Dinh Giot street, Exhibition of Ornamental Plants - Plant Varieties at Dak Lak Museum Campus.

In particular, the province will organize Famtrip delegations from major provinces and cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa to survey tourist routes and destinations in the province; build and introduce tours to experience and explore local culture, typical activities of ethnic communities, learn about folk culture in the province; organize conferences to meet and exchange between tourism businesses inside and outside the province to share solutions for developing tourism in Dak Lak province in the coming time.

This year's "Cultural Heritage Week" is a series of meaningful activities, aiming to honor the unique values ​​of cultural heritages in Dak Lak province in general and the Gong Cultural Space heritage in particular; arouse the pride and sense of responsibility of the community in preserving and promoting traditional cultural identity; at the same time, promote the image of Dak Lak - the land of the echoes of the great forest, where identity and aspirations converge to contribute to promoting sustainable cultural tourism development, expanding opportunities for exchange, cooperation and creating livelihoods for local communities through unique cultural - artistic - tourism activities.

This is also the 20th anniversary of the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space being recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
