“Marrying a Snake” is part of the series Fairy Tale World broadcast on THVL1. In the new land, every day, Mr. Do (actor Hoa Hiep) works hard with the hope that his family will return to the days of full prosperity like before. While digging the land, he accidentally dug up a pot of gold buried in the field. Thanks to that gold, he rebuilt his business, opened shops everywhere, and his family became rich again. He silently thanked heaven and earth, but unexpectedly everything started from the old covenant.

Eighteen years passed, Ngoc Huong (actress Song Duong) grew up to be a beautiful, gentle, and well-behaved young woman. She lived with her parents in a spacious house, helping with housework and learning embroidery. Life seemed peaceful until one day, while the whole family was chatting, suddenly a small explosion rang out, white smoke billowed out, and from the smoke, a large snake appeared, speaking humanly. It called Mr. Do's name, reminded him of the old agreement, and announced that it had come to take his daughter as its wife.

Mrs. Do (actress Nguyet Anh) panicked, Ngoc Huong was scared, and Mr. Do was stunned to realize it was true. The snake made it clear: he had been helped by it, now it was time to fulfill his promise. The snake would return in three days, if he tried to avoid or break his promise, the whole family would be in trouble. The "benefactor" disappeared, leaving behind terror in the once peaceful house.

That night, Mr. Do confessed the whole story. Mrs. Do blamed her husband for being blind, but he was also in great pain. Amidst the fear, Ngoc Huong calmly said that she would go to save her father's life. Her decisive words made both of them speechless. She considered accepting her fate as a way to save her parents, and also to repay the person who had helped her family overcome hardship.
