Vietnamese citizens and foreigners residing in Vietnam (regardless of age) can participate by submitting articles and photos.
Employees, collaborators of Thanh Nien Newspaper, and sponsors are allowed to participate and receive royalties for their works according to regulations, but they are not eligible for awards.
Each contestant may submit multiple entries, but only one entry in each category will be considered for a prize.
* The above regulations apply to the Article and Photo categories. The category for Influential Persons Spreading the Word on Living Beautifully is nominated and selected by the Organizing Committee.
Topic: A Journey Without Limits
The submitted stories should focus on portraying a character or group with beautiful and practical actions in helping individuals or the community, thereby spreading humanistic values, a positive spirit, and faith in life. Beyond simply acknowledging noble deeds, each story also highlights the power of compassion, demonstrating how acts of kindness, however small, can bring hope and create meaningful changes in life.
Entering its sixth season with the theme " A Journey Without Limits ," the "Living Beautifully" writing contest continues to expand its scope, seeking and celebrating positive values in life. Notably, this year's contest adds a category for the first time : "Influential Figures Spreading the Word on Living Beautifully," honoring individuals who have a significant influence through meaningful projects and actions for the community. Through this, the organizers hope to spread stories of living beautifully more widely, connect various social strata, and contribute to nurturing a spirit of compassion in modern life.
1. Article Category
- Feature stories, reports, and notes: The stories in the competition entries must be based on real people and events and must include accompanying images. The work should portray a person or group that has performed beautiful and practical actions to help individuals or the community, thereby spreading humane and inspiring stories. Beyond expressing an optimistic and positive spirit, the writing should also honor the enduring value of compassion, where sharing and love can contribute to changing destinies, igniting hope, and bringing good things into life.
- Entries must be written in Vietnamese (or English for foreign participants, with translation handled by the organizing committee) and should not exceed 1,600 words.
- Use clear and appropriate language that conforms to Vietnamese customs and traditions and does not violate any laws or regulations.
- The article can be typed, printed on paper, or clearly handwritten on A4 paper.
2. Photo Category
- Readers can submit photos related to volunteer activities, community support, environmental care, positive contributions to society, or daily acts of kindness performed by individuals or groups.
- A minimum of 5 photos are required, including the photo set title, a brief description of no more than 300 words, and a caption for each photo.
- Submitted photos must be taken with a camera, mobile phone, or other digital devices and must not be cropped or manipulated. Scanned photos, screenshots, or photos reproduced from printed images will not be accepted.
- Format: .jpg or .png. Maximum file size: 6 MB.
- Photos must not have borders, frames, logos, signatures, etc.
- Photos may undergo basic post-processing for lighting and color, but they must not be cropped, merged, deleted, or superimposed, ensuring that the content remains intact and does not distort the actual image.
3. Category: People with a Widespread Influence on Living Beautifully

- An influential individual in the fields of culture, arts, sports , entertainment, media, or other social areas, spreading positive values to the community.
- Individuals make their mark through outstanding actions, projects, or contributions that bring practical value and inspire a beautiful way of life.
- Priority is given to individuals who have a clear, lasting social impact and are positively recognized by the community.

- This category is one where the organizing committee proactively nominates and writes an introductory article about the person.
- The articles are published in Thanh Nien Newspaper and on the official platform of the competition for readers to follow and vote.
+ Introduction
- A journey of community service and contribution.
- Outstanding social projects, initiatives, and activities.
- This story is inspiring and spreads beautiful values of life.
- The information provided is guaranteed to be accurate and objective.
+ Voting method
- Readers participate in the voting process according to the system stipulated by the Organizing Committee.
- The voting results are one of the criteria used to determine the winners.
+ Evaluation criteria
- The level of positive impact.
- The actual effectiveness of the operation.
- Sustainability.

- Awards are given to outstanding individuals who have been highly appreciated by the judging panel and readers.

- The organizing committee reserves the right to nominate, verify, and adjust the list of winning entries.
- We reserve the right to disqualify or revoke results if any irregularities are discovered.

No restrictions
* Not applicable to the category of "Influencer Who Lives Beautifully".
- Entries must clearly state the category in which they are participating, including: written entries and photographic entries. Author's full name, pen name (if any), year of birth, occupation, gender, contact address or email, and phone number.
- Each author may submit multiple works and entries in various categories , including written articles/photo albums, but must consistently use only their full name or pen name. For groups of authors, a common group name should be used.
* The following entries will be submitted for the preliminary judging round:
- The submitted work must meet the content and format requirements set by the Organizing Committee.
- The submitted work must contain complete participant information as required.
* Final Round: The organizing committee compiles the scores from the judging panel members and announces the awards based on the scoring results according to the prescribed scale, from highest to lowest.

Each entry requires a title (title) chosen by the participant. The organizers may edit this title upon publication to conform to the competition criteria and the publishing platform.

The competition organizing committee includes members from the Editorial Board and representatives from various functional departments of Thanh Nien Newspaper, with journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan - Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper - as the head of the committee.
The judging panel consists of journalists, writers, poets, directors, and celebrities, chaired by journalist Hai Thanh - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper.
Entries (including images and videos ) must not have been previously published or broadcast on any platform (including personal channels). If any violations are detected, the Organizing Committee will refuse to publish the entry or will delete it, disqualify the author, and will not pay royalties, even if the work has already been published. If a winning entry is found to be in violation, the Organizing Committee will revoke the award and give it to another entry/contestant.
The Organizing Committee will not accept entries that utilize artificial intelligence (AI).
Authors submitting entries commit to taking legal responsibility for their work, ensuring there are no copyright disputes. Images, videos, stories, and character information mentioned in the entries must be approved by the characters; the author is fully responsible for any complaints from the characters. If awarded entries violate copyright or are involved in any disputes or lawsuits, the Organizing Committee and the Judging Panel will consider revoking the award and making a public announcement. Entries that violate the Organizing Committee's regulations, Vietnamese customs and traditions, or contain inappropriate information will be disqualified without prior notice.
The organizers are not responsible for lost entries or for participants providing incorrect personal information, resulting in the inability to contact them.
The organizers will not return any entries under any circumstances and have the full right to use the winning entries for promotional activities, advertising, and book printing without incurring any costs.
The organizing committee has the full right to edit the submitted entries to conform to the main content of the competition, in accordance with the law and Thanh Nien Newspaper regulations.
Winners are responsible for paying personal income tax in accordance with the law at the time of receiving the prize. Winners are responsible for confirming their attendance at the Award Ceremony so that the Organizing Committee can prepare the prize. If, for any reason, a winner is unable to attend the Award Ceremony, the cash prize will be transferred via bank transfer using the information and documents provided by the winner.
The organizers will only handle any complaints regarding the competition results within 7 days of the results being announced.
By participating in this competition, contestants automatically agree to the rules and regulations of the Organizing Committee. The decision of the Organizing Committee is final.
