During the Festival, the whole province organized: 8 Launching Ceremonies; 5 Communication and Dialogue Conferences; 174 small group communication sessions; 2 social insurance and health insurance policy consulting booths; 4 mobile communication groups; and 204 other policy communication activities.
Thanks to the synchronous implementation of many forms of communication and mobilization suitable to the characteristics of each locality. As a result, after the Festival, 5,742 people were communicated, consulted, and answered about social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies. At markets, residential groups, villages, and residential areas, social insurance officers and organizations supporting the development of social insurance and health insurance beneficiaries directly met, communicated, and mobilized each person, providing detailed instructions on benefits, contribution levels, methods of participating in social insurance, health insurance, and new points of the Law on Social Insurance and Health Insurance in 2024.
Despite the cold and rainy weather in many highland areas such as Sa Pa, Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, Bac Ha, Van Ban... the propagandists of the Social Security agency still stick to the area, flexibly organize mobile communication activities and small group communication sessions in the evening or after office hours, ensuring that information reaches the people fully and promptly.
From the efforts and determination of the entire Lao Cai Social Insurance system, this Festival has brought about many outstanding results such as: 2,745 people participating in Social Insurance and Health Insurance (including: 159 new people participating in voluntary Social Insurance, 2,586 people participating in self-paid Health Insurance) and 380 beneficiaries switching to receiving pensions and Social Insurance benefits through non-cash methods.
Many localities recorded positive results in the development of social insurance and health insurance participants. Of which, Yen Binh reached 1,077 social insurance and health insurance participants and mobilized 167 pensioners to switch to non-cash payment methods; Van Chan developed 127 social insurance and health insurance participants and supported 150 pensioners to use non-cash payment methods.
In addition, many humanitarian activities have also been implemented by the Social Insurance Agency, such as giving health insurance cards to students in disadvantaged areas in Cam Duong and Sa Pa, contributing to improving health care for children in disadvantaged circumstances.
The festival not only brought results in terms of the number of participants but also played an important role in raising people's awareness of social insurance and health insurance policies. Through communication and direct dialogue, people had their questions about the policies answered promptly and satisfactorily. The dedication of the propaganda team - the "social security bridges" - contributed to increasing people's trust in the humane social security policies of the Party and State, affirming the pivotal role of social insurance and health insurance in the system of sustainable social security policies.
This result has also contributed to creating a strong competitive spirit for the entire Social Insurance system of Lao Cai province in the final sprint period of the year. This is an important premise for units to continue to effectively implement the "15 peak days", striving to complete the targets of developing social insurance and health insurance participants in 2025. With the determination of the entire Social Insurance System and the consensus of the people, social insurance and health insurance policies are continuing to be widely spread, contributing to ensuring social security, improving the quality of life and sustainable development of Lao Cai province.
