Five more heritage items have been added to the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

On January 6, 2026, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung signed decisions to include these items in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Accordingly, five heritage items from various provinces were included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage on this occasion, including:

1. Folk knowledge, Traditional crafts: Knowledge of growing and processing longan in Hung Yen province, Hong Chau ward, Son Nam ward, Tan Hung commune, Khoai Chau commune, Trieu Viet Vuong commune, Tien Lu commune.

2. Traditional Festival: The New Rice Festival of the Muong people in Yen Son ward, Phu Son commune, Cuc Phuong commune, Nho Quan commune, Phu Long commune, Gia Lam commune, Ninh Binh province.

3. Social customs and beliefs: Traditional wedding of the Muong people, Yen Son ward, Ninh Binh province.

4. Folk knowledge: Knowledge of preparing dishes from eel in Nghe An province.

5. Traditional Festival: Mai Bang Temple Festival, Cua Lo Ward, Nghe An Province.

The Chairpersons of the People's Committees at all levels in localities where intangible cultural heritage is included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage shall, within their duties and powers, exercise state management in accordance with the law on cultural heritage.
