Over the years, the Emulation movement to win (TĐQT) has developed steadily and steadily, creating great spiritual motivation for the armed forces of Vinh Long province to always strive to overcome difficulties and excel in completing assigned political tasks. In 2023, the Provincial Military Command was one of two units of Military Region 9 to achieve outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and was honored to receive the emulation flag from the Prime Minister.
Building a strong armed force in terms of politics, ideology and organization
Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", the Party Committee, the Provincial Military Command and the Party committees and commanders of agencies and units have led and directed the serious and strict implementation of emulation, reward and emulation movements.
The TDQT movement closely follows political tasks, closely linked to local patriotic emulation movements, major movements and campaigns of the Party, State and army. The TDQT movement is closely combined with the promotion of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers".
The Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command pay attention to educating cadres and soldiers to have a steadfast and firm political ideology, absolute trust in the Party's leadership, the cause of national renewal, and close solidarity with the people. From there, build political and spiritual potential, maintain ideological positions, and effectively prevent negative manifestations and social evils, defeat the plots and tricks of "peaceful evolution" of hostile forces, and prevent the phenomena of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation".
According to Colonel Pham Van Khiem - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command determined that the work of building a strong armed force in terms of politics, ideology and organization is a matter of principle and foundation.
Accordingly, the effectiveness of propaganda, dissemination and legal education activities has been increasingly improved. Agencies and units have seriously implemented the Project "Innovation of political education work at units in the new period" and effectively promoted the activities of the "Military Psychological-Legal Advisory Group", maintaining the order of the Spiritual-Cultural Political Day and the Law Day.
Cultural institutions are increasingly perfected, the quality of activities is improved, both meeting the needs of daily life and enjoyment of spiritual and cultural values, while enhancing supplementary education, orienting awareness, action and fostering humanistic values for cadres and soldiers.
Implementing the Campaign "Building a good, healthy and rich cultural environment" in the army associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", 100% of families of officers and professional soldiers are recognized as "Cultural families", the landscape and environment are increasingly bright, green, clean and beautiful.
In addition, the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command launched and effectively implemented the emulation movements "Provincial armed forces join hands to build new rural areas" and "Join hands for the poor - leaving no one behind". In the 2019-2024 period, the movement was deployed in 87 communes and to date, 75 communes have met new rural standards, including 32 advanced new rural communes and 5 model new rural communes.
Complete the mission excellently
According to the assessment of the Provincial Military Command, the TĐQT movement is an important driving force to promote agencies and units to excellently complete assigned political tasks. This is reflected in the following aspects of work: training, combat readiness, building discipline, training and discipline enforcement; ensuring logistics, finance and the emulation movement "The military logistics sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings"; the campaign "Management and exploitation of good, durable, safe, economical and traffic-safe technical weapons and equipment".
The Party Committee and Military Command of Tam Binh district always recognize and clearly identify defense area drills as extremely important content in local military and defense work.
Through the exercise, not only the operational capacity of the mechanism, the level of command organization, the role of coordination and coordination of the departments, organizations and local armed forces will be improved. This is also the basis for supplementing and perfecting the combat plans and strategies; building the potential and defense posture, combining socio-economic development with strengthening national defense and security, building a solid defense area, meeting all the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
In 2023, Tam Binh district successfully organized a defense zone exercise. According to Lieutenant Colonel Cao Thanh Trieu - Commander of the Tam Binh District Military Command, this is a large-scale exercise with many contents and locations.
On that basis, the District Military Command has performed well its core role and proactively advised the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee to lead and direct the implementation in accordance with its functions and tasks. The command and operation of the agencies and units in the field are in accordance with the tactical plan, demonstrating the ability to closely coordinate between the forces. Effectively apply the technical and tactical postures on the battlefield, skillfully use the weapons in the establishment and ensure safety in the use of air bullets and explosives.
Colonel Pham Van Khiem said that in addition to launching regular emulation movements according to the theme of the Military Region and the Provincial People's Committee, in the period of 2019-2024, the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command launched 6 emulation campaigns in the TĐQT movement and 25 raid and peak emulation campaigns. These are truly large-scale and practical political activities, contributing to promoting and improving the overall effectiveness of the TĐQT movement of the armed forces.

Through the emulation movement, the militia and self-defense forces in the whole province were built and adjusted to suit the local situation and the requirements of the defensive combat mission. The reserve force was checked, registered, and strictly managed, the area was compact, and mobilization was convenient. The selection and calling of citizens to join the army was carried out in accordance with the process, from the stage of grasping the source, reviewing, examining health, discussing, and handing over troops, reaching 100% of the target.
The logistics sector with emulation movements to build good military kitchens, good financial management units, 5 good military medical units, build and manage regular, bright, green, clean and beautiful barracks. The technical sector with the Campaign "Management and exploitation of good, durable, safe, economical and traffic safety technical weapons and equipment" contributes to ensuring that weapons and technical equipment perform combat readiness tasks, build regularity, train and rehearse, ensuring that the armed forces are always ready to fight and fight victoriously in all situations.
