According to information released by the General Department of Customs on December 18, total export turnover by the end of November reached 369.93 billion USD, an increase of 14.4% (equivalent to an increase of 46.7 billion USD) over the same period last year.
In terms of export markets, the United States continued to maintain its number one position with 108.94 billion USD, up 24% (equivalent to an increase of 21.08 billion USD) over the same period last year and accounting for 29.4% of the country's total export turnover.
Notably, the United States is also the only export market to date where our country has achieved a turnover of one hundred billion dollars.
China is Vietnam's second largest export market with 54.74 billion USD, down 0.7% (equivalent to a decrease of 368 million USD) compared to the same period last year.
Other notable markets include: EU reached 47.34 billion USD, up 18.5% (equivalent to an increase of 7.38 billion USD) over the same period last year; ASEAN reached 33.53 billion USD, up 14.1% (equivalent to an increase of 4.15 billion USD); Korea reached 23.3 billion USD, up 8.6% (equivalent to an increase of 1.84 billion USD).
Some other important markets include: Hong Kong (China) reached 11.26 billion USD, up 32.3% (equivalent to an increase of 2.75 billion USD) compared to the same period last year; United Arab Emirates reached 5.22 billion USD, up 44.1% (equivalent to an increase of 1.6 billion USD); Russia reached 2.12 billion USD, up 35.7% (equivalent to an increase of 558 million USD)...
