Since then, the OCOP Program has been synchronously deployed by Duyen Hai town to communes and wards; mobilizing the participation of all levels and sectors, especially the initiative of the subjects. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for rural economic development, associated with building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; positively impacting rural economic development, contributing to the transformation from small-scale agricultural production to production in the direction of value chain linkage, according to standards, regulations, traceability and market demand; arousing potential and comparative advantages to form OCOP products.

Comrade Huynh Van Mau, Head of the Economic Department of Duyen Hai town, said: implementing the OCOP Program plan in 2024, in 10 months of 2024, Duyen Hai town has implemented 09/04 OCOP products (Thanh Tien pork roll, Thanh Tien pate, Nguyen Minh bird's nest, dried fish, sweet and sour shrimp, Thu Trang dried buffalo tongue fish, Thu Trang dried goby fish, Co Vui coconut caramel, Tuong Anh three-striped crab fish sauce, safe cucumber).
With close coordination between the town's departments and the People's Committees of communes and wards; and the active support of provincial departments and branches, by the end of October 2024, Duyen Hai town had 33 OCOP products (30 3-star products and 03 4-star products). Notably, all existing OCOP products of the town, from the formation process to recognition, have focused on raw material sources. This is one of the conditions that helps Duyen Hai town's OCOP products develop, with the potential to raise the star.
In order to develop OCOP products for trade, the Town Economic Department coordinated and advised 11 entities to build brands. At the same time, to help entities be proactive and create raw material sources, in the first 10 months of 2024, the town organized 49 training courses and seminars, with 1,544 participants. Of which, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center coordinated to train 18 agricultural and aquatic classes for 330 participants; the Duyen Hai District Agricultural Service Center trained 23 agricultural and aquatic classes, with 801 participants; organized 01 training class on building and protecting brands with 20 participants; the Western Wild Boar Company organized a workshop on wild boar linkage chains, with 25 participants; the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development organized a workshop on shrimp industry development, with 230 delegates attending; The Department of Science and Technology trained on branding for officials, facilities, and businesses participating in the OCOP program, with 30 participants...
Developing OCOP products associated with building agricultural raw material areas, towards organic production, ecological agriculture, saving resources, preserving biodiversity, ensuring food safety and traceability. At the same time, prioritizing investment in raw material area infrastructure... is the orientation of the town.
Comrade Duong Thi Truc Linh, Civil Servant in charge of Agriculture and Environment of Dan Thanh Commune, said: Dan Thanh Commune has 02 OCOP products: Tuong Anh three-striped crab fish sauce (Con Ong Hamlet) and Hoang Lan cassava flour (Mu U Hamlet). In order for the products to have raw materials, the commune has increased the transfer of science and technology, supporting people according to Resolution No. 03/NQ-HDND, dated March 19, 2021 of the Provincial People's Council on promulgating the Regulations on policies to support the restructuring of the agricultural sector of Tra Vinh Province, period 2021 - 2025. Thanks to that, Ms. Duong Thi Tuong Vi, the owner of Hoang Lan cassava flour OCOP currently has more than 01 hectare of cassava raw materials; at the same time, she has cooperated with many households in Dong Hai Commune, Duyen Hai District; Long Huu Commune, Duyen Hai Town to plant more than 03 hectares...
Ms. Lam Thi Kim Quyen, Ward 2, Duyen Hai town has 3 OCOP products: 1-sun-dried mackerel, 1-sun-dried shrimp, 1-sun-dried sweet and sour shrimp. Ms. Quyen shared: the process of forming OCOP products has gone through many challenges, especially the source of mackerel raw materials. According to Ms. Quyen, to have a quality 1-sun-dried mackerel product, fresh fish is needed; after a period of challenges, she has now expanded the source of raw materials from fishing ports in Duyen Hai town, Duyen Hai district and Tra Cu; she negotiated with seafood fishing boat owners, reserving fresh mackerel raw materials to create OCOP 1-sun-dried mackerel products, meeting consumer demand.
It can be said that the OCOP products of Duyen Hai town have a solid roadmap, identifying and selecting the right products, ensuring the source of raw materials. This is an important condition, laying the foundation for the success of the OCOP subject; at the same time, it is the foundation for strategic planning, deciding on business efficiency; improving quality and ability to meet consumer needs; prospects for chain linkage; enhancing the value of the town's industry in the coming time.
