From early morning, officers and soldiers of the Lung Cu Border Guard Post, along with officials, Party members, and people of Lung Cu commune, dressed in neat uniforms, lined up at the foot of the flagpole. When the signal sounded, the bright red national flag, measuring 54 square meters – a symbol of the great unity of the 54 ethnic groups – was slowly raised to the stirring strains of the national anthem. Amidst the vast mountains and rocks, the national flag fluttered proudly, affirming the sacred and inviolable sovereignty of the nation's territory.

The flag-raising ceremony is a regular activity with profound political significance, contributing to the education of patriotic traditions, fostering political fortitude, unwavering will, and readiness to accept and fulfill all assigned tasks for border guards, and arousing national pride among the people of all ethnic groups in the northernmost region of the Fatherland. The flag-raising ceremony at the Lung Cu National Flagpole is not only a military ritual but also a symbol of faith, will, and aspiration to safeguard the Fatherland's borders in the far north.
