By participating in the competition, each artwork becomes a bridge bringing students closer to the glorious traditions of the nation, helping them to love their homeland more and appreciate historical values from their early childhood years.
For example, the Youth Union of Dinh Chau Secondary School (Dien Ban Dong Ward) submitted a video titled "A Historical Journey" to the competition. Instead of elaborate storytelling, the students and Youth Union members documented their journey of visiting, talking with, giving gifts to, and cooking a reunion meal at the home of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Kieu Thi The. Through simple, authentic frames, the stories of wartime and sacrifice were listened to, recorded, and preserved by the students as a way of cherishing historical memories.

Meanwhile, the Youth Union of Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School (An Khe ward) submitted a video recreating a true and emotional story about veteran Luu Cong Son, who works as a security guard at the school and was previously a soldier in the Da Nang Liberation Campaign and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
From the arduous years of fighting on the battlefield to the peaceful everyday life today, the image of veteran Luu Cong Son becomes a vivid testament to the continuity between generations. Through his simple and intimate storytelling, students listen to memories of "the fiery times."

With its engaging and educational approach, the video aims to provide students with vivid, practical, and meaningful history lessons, ensuring that "historical memory" is not only preserved but also continues to spread in contemporary life.
Mr. Tran Khanh Hoan, Head of the Youth Union at Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School, shared that through the video, students not only learn about the past but also feel the continuity between generations. More importantly, they learn to cherish peace, cultivate gratitude, and develop a sense of responsibility towards their homeland and country.

Mr. Le Kim Thuong, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union and Chairman of the City Children's Council, shared that the competition "Da Nang Children Preserving National Historical Memories Through Children's Council Activities" is not only a creative playground for children but also a meaningful educational journey, helping them approach history through practical experiences and genuine emotions.
Through collecting documents, meeting historical witnesses, and presenting them through modern media products, students not only gain a better understanding of the nation's glorious past but also cultivate patriotism, pride, and a sense of responsibility towards the country's future.
Da Nang City currently has 665 Youth Union branches under 93 Youth Councils with over 414,000 members. The competition "Da Nang Children Preserving National Historical Memories Through Youth Union Activities" in 2026 will conclude and awards will be presented on May 15th.
