Cooperation agreement between Vietnam Education Publishing House and the Embassy of Chile in Vietnam

(CPV)- On 31/10, the representative of the Embassy of Chile in Vietnam and the Vietnam Education Publishing House (VEP) had a meeting and signed a Cooperation Agreement on culture and translation. This is an activity within the framework of international exchange and cooperation of the VEP.

Attending the meeting, from the Embassy of Chile in Vietnam, there was Mr. Sergio Narea - Ambassador of Chile in Vietnam. Representing the Vietnam Education Publishing House were Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Members - General Director; Mr. Pham Vinh Thai - Editor-in-Chief; Ms. Le Phuong Mai - General Director of Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company.

This cooperation is based on the goal of bringing Vietnamese readers translated books with humanistic values, which have been accepted by many countries around the world. world received. In Chile, Papelucho is a classic children's literature book, which has been included in the program education Chilean primary and secondary school. The work has also been adapted into stage plays and comics. In 1982, the author of Papelucho won the Premio Nacional de Literatura (Chilean National Literature Award). Accordingly, the character Papelucho was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award from the International Council of Books for Young People in Switzerland. Currently, Papelucho is translated and published in many countries around the world.

In Vietnam, NXBGDVN is a pioneer in the publishing industry, with extensive experience in organizing the translation and publication of foreign works into Vietnamese. Realizing that Papelucho is an educational literary work, suitable for Vietnamese students, NXBGDVN wishes to cooperate to translate and publish 12 books of the Papelucho series into Vietnamese.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Members, General Director of the Vietnam Education Publishing House emphasized: This will be a new milestone in the cooperation between the two sides, helping to introduce and spread the unique features of Chile's culture and education to Vietnam as well as opening the door for publishing exchanges with Chilean partners in the coming time. The Vietnam Education Publishing House hopes that, with the prestige and position of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, along with the active support of the Chilean Embassy, ​​and especially Ambassador Sergio Narea, in the coming years, not only the Papulecho series, but also many more good and quality translated books will be brought to Vietnamese children. And vice versa, outstanding Vietnamese children's works will also have the opportunity to be introduced in Chile, in order to further strengthen the relationship. diplomatic People between two countries.

Hopefully, the Chilean Embassy will continue to accompany and actively support the deployment in the following years so that the Vietnam Education Publishing House can fully introduce this inspirational and humane series.
