The Central Highlands region will experience low temperatures of 15-18 degrees Celsius, with some areas below 15 degrees Celsius; high temperatures of 27-30 degrees Celsius, with some areas above 30 degrees Celsius. In Southern Vietnam, the lowest temperature will be 21-24 degrees Celsius, with some areas in the East experiencing temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius; the highest temperature will be 29-32 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 32 degrees Celsius. The sky will be cloudy with sunny periods during the day, and scattered showers in the late afternoon and evening; the wind will be light.
Ho Chi Minh City, in particular, will have a lowest temperature of 22-24 degrees Celsius and a highest temperature of 29-31 degrees Celsius. The weather will be cloudy with sunny days and no rain at night; light winds.
From the night of January 19th, 2026 to January 27th, 2026: Northern Vietnam, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An: scattered rain, early morning fog and light mist, sunny in the afternoon; scattered rain from around evening and night of January 20-22. Cold at night and in the morning.
From January 21st, the weather will be cold, with some areas experiencing severe cold; from January 22nd to 24th, the mountainous and midland areas of Northern Vietnam will experience severe cold, with some areas experiencing extreme cold. High mountainous areas should be wary of frost.
The area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang and the eastern part of the province from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai will experience scattered rain; particularly from around January 22-23, there will be rain, showers, with localized moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. From January 22, the North will be cold, and the South will be cool. Other areas will have scattered showers at night and sunny days. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
