According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on January 25th, Northern Vietnam will experience cold weather with light rain, drizzle, and fog; mountainous areas may experience severe cold. From Central Vietnam southward, the weather will be sunny with gradually rising temperatures.
Specifically, the Northwest region will experience scattered rain; some areas will have fog in the early morning, with decreasing cloud cover and sunshine in the afternoon. The weather will be intensely cold, with some areas experiencing severe cold; Dien Bien and Lai Chau will be particularly cold, with some areas experiencing intense cold. The lowest temperatures will generally range from 11-14°C, with some areas below 8°C; the highest temperatures will range from 16-19°C, with the Northwest region experiencing temperatures from 21-24°C, and some areas exceeding 26°C.
The Northeast region will also experience scattered rain; light rain and drizzle with fog are expected in the early morning and at night. Light winds. Cold weather, especially in mountainous and hilly areas, with some places experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperatures will range from 12-15 degrees Celsius, 9-12 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas, and below 9 degrees Celsius in some places; the highest temperatures will generally range from 16-19 degrees Celsius.
From Thanh Hoa to Hue, cloudy with scattered rain. North to Northwest winds at level 2-3. Cold weather. Lowest temperatures generally from 15-18 degrees Celsius, with some areas in the South above 18 degrees Celsius; highest temperatures from 18-21 degrees Celsius, 20-23 degrees Celsius in the South, with some areas above 23 degrees Celsius.
In the South Central Coastal region, the northern part will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain; the southern part will be cloudy with sunny days and scattered showers at night. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. The northern part will be cold in the early morning and at night. The lowest temperatures will generally range from 20-23°C, with some areas in the south exceeding 23°C; the highest temperatures will range from 26-29°C, with some areas in the south exceeding 29°C.
Central Highlands: Sunny during the day, scattered showers at night. Northeast wind, force 2-3. Cold in the early morning and at night. Lowest temperatures from 14-17°C, some places below 13°C; highest temperatures generally from 25-28°C, some places above 28°C.
In the Southern region, it will be sunny during the day, with scattered showers at night. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. The Eastern region will be cold in the early morning and at night. The lowest temperatures in the Eastern region will be 19-22 degrees Celsius, and in the Western region 21-24 degrees Celsius; the highest temperatures in the Eastern region will be 31-33 degrees Celsius, and in the Western region 29-31 degrees Celsius.
In Hanoi, the weather will be cloudy with scattered rain; light rain and drizzle, accompanied by fog, will occur in the early morning and at night. The wind will be light, and the weather will be cold. The lowest temperature will generally range from 13-15 degrees Celsius, and the highest from 17-19 degrees Celsius.
Ho Chi Minh City will have sunny days and scattered showers at night. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. The lowest temperature will be 21-23 degrees Celsius, and the highest will be 30-32 degrees Celsius.
At sea, on January 25th, the waters from Khanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City and the western part of the South China Sea (including the western waters of the Truong Sa Special Administrative Region) will experience strong northeasterly winds of force 6, gusting to force 7-8; rough seas; and waves 2-4 meters high.
From the night of January 25th, winds over the aforementioned sea areas tended to gradually decrease.
Vessels operating in these sea areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and high waves; they need to closely monitor weather forecasts and warnings to proactively take preventive measures.
