Through 43 resolutions, promoting Ho Chi Minh City to develop quickly and sustainably

According to comrade Vo Van Minh, each resolution passed at the session is not only a legal document but also a political commitment, a promise to the people and the business community to continue to remove difficulties, improve the investment environment, create an open legal corridor, and promote rapid and sustainable development.

After a working session, at noon on November 14, the 5th session of the 10th term of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, term 2021-2026, closed.

In his closing speech, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh affirmed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council had carefully studied the submissions of the City People's Committee, thoroughly reviewed the examination reports of the People's Council committees, and listened to the deep and dedicated contributions of the delegates. Thereby, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council passed 43 resolutions.

At the same time, ensure the two-level local government model after the arrangement operates more and more effectively", Comrade Vo Van Minh affirmed.

According to him, the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City has passed important resolutions to serve socio -economic activities, ensuring national defense, security and social security. In order for the resolution to soon come into life, the Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City requested the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and departments, branches, wards, communes and special zones to quickly concretize the resolution into an action program with clear goals, progress, responsibilities and results. Regularly inspect, supervise, promptly remove difficulties and handle problems at the grassroots level, and prevent resolutions from being issued but not being put into practice.

Along with that, focus on removing bottlenecks, especially in planning, traffic infrastructure, public investment, administrative procedure reform, and strive to complete the socio-economic targets of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council resolution.

There is not much time left in 2025, comrade Vo Van Minh suggested that localities, units and delegates carefully prepare for the 2025 regular session and the conference to summarize the term of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; at the same time, clearly identify the goals and breakthrough solutions to successfully implement the action program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress. Proactively prepare for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, ensuring that the election in the locality takes place democratically, in accordance with the law, safely, transparently and achieves high results.

In his closing speech, the Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City congratulated the comrades who were elected to fill the positions of the People's Council and People's Committee with high consensus and unity. Thereby, ensuring the completion of the team of leaders and key officials of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, creating more strength for the city's government apparatus to operate smoothly and synchronously, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

Comrade Vo Van Minh believes and expects that the newly elected comrades will maximize their capacity and strengths, unite with the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to constantly innovate management methods, and successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress.
