On the morning of January 13th, in Hanoi , Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended a conference to gather opinions from voters at their workplaces regarding 122 individuals nominated by the National Assembly Standing Committee to run for full-time National Assembly deputies in the 16th term at the central level, belonging to the National Assembly's agencies, the National Assembly Office, and the advisory and support agencies of the National Assembly Party Committee.
Organizing conferences to gather opinions from voters at the workplace regarding candidates for full-time National Assembly deputies in the 16th term at the central level is an opportunity for voters at the workplace to compare the candidates against the standards of National Assembly deputies, and to comment on and express their confidence in the candidates.
The conference heard presentations on the criteria for National Assembly deputies; cases ineligible to run for election; and a summary list of 122 individuals nominated by the National Assembly Standing Committee to run for full-time National Assembly deputies in the 16th term at the central level, belonging to the National Assembly's agencies, the National Assembly Office, and the advisory and support agencies of the National Assembly Party Committee.
In addition to the standards stipulated in the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies, candidates for the National Assembly who are officials and civil servants working in central agencies, units, and organizations must meet the standards, conditions, and age requirements specified in Guidance No. 36 of the Central Organization Committee, guiding personnel work for the 16th National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

At the conference, after reviewing the dossiers and comparing them with the regulations on standards, voters concluded that the candidates nominated for the 16th National Assembly all fully met the requirements regarding standards, political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, work capacity, health, and level of trust.
For delegates nominated for re-election, they have demonstrated competence, intelligence, and dedication over one or more terms in the National Assembly, making highly effective, responsible, and decisive contributions to the success of previous National Assembly terms.
In particular, the National Assembly deputies during the 15th term faced numerous difficulties and challenges, yet the National Assembly accomplished a tremendous amount of work, including many unprecedented tasks.
For the newly nominated candidates , voters recognize that they are all key leaders of advisory and support units, who have dedicated many years to their roles, possess a thorough understanding and experience of the National Assembly's operations, and have the necessary qualifications, capabilities, and qualities to meet the requirements for candidates running for National Assembly representative.
The conference unanimously voted to approve the list of 122 candidates nominated by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to run for full-time National Assembly deputies in the 16th term at the central level, belonging to the National Assembly's agencies, the National Assembly Office, and the advisory and support agencies of the National Assembly Party Committee.
