After OPPO launched the Find X7 series in China, a series of rumors about its successor model also appeared. Recently, information about the Find X8 camera was also revealed.
The source said that Find X8 with the code name "medium cup" will have a 3-camera rear system including: a telephoto camera using a quality periscope lens, the main camera using a 50MP sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches.
According to the source, the sensor of Find X8 Series is similar to Find X7, which is Sony LYT-808 sensor, while the periscope camera uses Sony IMX 882 sensor with size 1/1.953 inch.
Previously, famous leaker Smart Pikachu shared on Weibo that Find X8 will be OPPO's next generation high-end smartphone using MediaTek's high-end Dimensity 9400 chip, launching next October.
DCS has claimed that the Dimensity 9400 can surpass the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Apple's A17 Pro in instructions per clock/cycle (IPC) to deliver impressive performance to users.
According to some rumors, smartphones using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will need larger batteries to maintain or improve battery life because the chipset consumes more power than its predecessor. Therefore, it is very likely that the Find X8 will be equipped with an expected battery of 5,100 mAh to 5,500 mAh. On the other hand, the Pro model is rumored to have a 2.7D curved screen. Both smartphones may launch in October.
Oppo also plans to launch the Find X8 Ultra version with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, expected to launch in early 2025 and compete directly with Galaxy S25 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, vivo X200 Ultra.
