New Year's greetings for the Year of the Horse 2026 from President Luong Cuong

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse), at the sacred moment of New Year's Eve transition between the old and new year, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong sent a New Year's greeting letter to compatriots, comrades, and soldiers throughout the country, as well as the Vietnamese community abroad.

The Vietnam News Agency respectfully presents the full text of the President's New Year's greetings message:

Dear compatriots, comrades, soldiers throughout the country, and our compatriots abroad,

As the Year of the Horse arrives, at this moment of transition from the old year to the new, I affectionately send my best wishes for a peaceful, healthy, and happy New Year to all compatriots, comrades, soldiers throughout the country, and our compatriots abroad. I respectfully send my best wishes to the people and friends of the world, wishing them a new year of peace , happiness, and shared development.

In the year of the Snake (2025), our country has gone through a period marked by many important and significant events, achieving many proud accomplishments; at the same time, it was also a year in which our country had to overcome many difficulties and challenges, with rapid, complex, and unpredictable changes in the world and regional situation, along with severe natural disasters that caused heavy losses and left much suffering and loss for our people.

With unwavering determination, self-reliance, and self-improvement, the entire Party, people, and army have united and worked together, leveraging the strength of the entire nation and the assistance of international friends to achieve all the main goals set forth, leaving many outstanding marks: Independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and a peaceful environment have been maintained; economic growth is among the world's leading, becoming a high-middle-income country; social welfare is well cared for; politics and society are stable; national defense and security are maintained and strengthened; foreign relations and international integration have been promoted, and Vietnam's position and prestige continue to be enhanced on the international stage; creating an important foundation for the country to enter a new era of development.

Entering the new year of the Horse 2026 - the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, with a fervent patriotic tradition, a spirit of unity, unwavering will, and a strong aspiration for progress, the entire Party, people, and army will continue to unite, work together, seize every opportunity, overcome all difficulties and challenges, strongly promote self-confidence, self-reliance, self-strength, national pride, constantly innovate, and act decisively to successfully realize the goal of building a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam.

In the joyful spirit of welcoming the new Spring, once again, I wish all compatriots, comrades, soldiers throughout the country and our compatriots abroad a new year of new victories and successes; may our nation and people become increasingly prosperous, enjoying a life of abundance, freedom, and happiness.
