Recall and destroy batches of Thuan Moc skin cream that do not meet quality standards.

On November 12, the Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) issued a document requesting the suspension of circulation, recall and destruction of a batch of Thuan Moc skin cream cosmetics that Hoa Binh Pharma Joint Stock Company was responsible for bringing to the market.

According to the report of the Center for Drug, Cosmetic, and Food Testing, Department of Health - Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City, the sample of Thuan Moc skin cream (box of 1 tube of 21g, batch number: 12/2024/NHB, production date: September 10, 2024, expiry date: March 9, 2027) was sampled and the results did not meet the requirements for microbiological testing.

The recalled product was manufactured by Tan Van Xuan Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Joint Stock Company (address: Dong Se village, Luong Son commune, Phu Tho province) and Hoa Binh Pharma Joint Stock Company (same address) was responsible for bringing it to the market.

Based on the test results, the Drug Administration requested to suspend nationwide circulation of the violating Thuan Moc skin cream batch.

Provincial and municipal health departments must notify cosmetic businesses and users to immediately stop trading and using and recall and destroy all batches of violating products.

For Hoa Binh Pharma Joint Stock Company and Tan Van Xuan Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Joint Stock Company, the Drug Administration Department requested the two units to send recall notices to all establishments distributing, trading and using the products;

Receive returned products, recall and destroy all batches of substandard products; report the recall and destruction results to the Department of Drug Administration before December 5.

In addition, the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Health is assigned to closely monitor the process of recalling and destroying products of the two companies, and at the same time inspect compliance with legal regulations on cosmetics production and trading, and handle violations if any.
