Currently, the province has over 4,700 restaurants and mobile food service establishments, including more than 100 large-capacity restaurants. Notably, the Thai Hai Ethnic Village Ecological Stilt House Conservation Area Restaurant (Tan Cuong commune) was awarded the "Best Restaurant for Tourist Service in 2025" by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, contributing to affirming the quality of culinary tourism services and enhancing the image of the province as a destination.

To cater to the culinary needs of tourists and ensure cleanliness from farm to table, many restaurants have proactively sourced their ingredients and strictly managed the processing stage. For example, the Thai Hai Ethnic Village Ecological Reserve Restaurant has proactively grown its own green vegetables and raised livestock and poultry in a safe manner.

At the same time, attention should be paid to ensuring hygiene during processing and preservation, and always creating dishes with the unique flavors of the mountains and forests. Some dishes such as grilled free-range chicken, sticky rice wrapped in purple leaves, and various wild and naturally grown seasonal vegetables in Thai Hai... are favored by many tourists.

Similarly, when visiting the Kem Stream eco-tourism site in La Bang commune, the local cuisine is also very appealing. Ms. Hoang Thanh Hoa, from Ninh Binh, shared: "I like dishes like salads, grilled, and steamed dishes made from sturgeon, raised right here in La Bang. Seeing the sturgeon swimming in the tanks, with water sourced from a clear stream flowing from the Tam Dao mountain range (with both inflow and outflow), I feel very reassured enjoying food made with safe ingredients. Especially when I step into the preparation area, seeing the scientific and clean layout, and the chefs wearing gloves and masks while preparing the dishes, I feel even more at ease."

In particular, visiting tea-growing regions and experiencing the safe and clean tea production process from cultivation to harvesting, processing, and packaging, tourists have great confidence in using tea products "made in Thai Nguyen".

Mr. Le Xuan Ha, from Hanoi, shared: "Through research and direct experience, I have found that most households, cooperatives, and businesses in Thai Nguyen have produced safe tea according to VietGAP and organic standards; and are promoting the development of OCOP products to ensure safety and improve the quality of local specialties."

It's clear that the combination of clean and delicious food offered by restaurants and food service providers in Thai Nguyen has made a positive impression on tourists. However, to maintain the established "brand," restaurants and mobile food services in the province need to sustain their performance.

On the part of the provincial authorities, they should also organize inspections to ensure food safety at food processing and catering establishments. In particular, they should organize the signing of commitments to ensure food safety and hygiene with all establishments and seriously handle cases of violations…
