This is a very meaningful gift for Ly Thi Men when she has just officially graduated from Duy Tan University with the title of Salutatorian, receiving an Excellent degree with a GPA of 3.85/4. Ly Thi Men is also the Valedictorian of Duy Tan University in 2021 when she achieved 29.75/30 points in the 2021 High School Graduation Exam.
"Double award" with silver and bronze medals at prestigious competition
Since choosing to study Business Law (Talent Program - HP) at the Faculty of Law, School of Languages & Social Sciences (LHSS), Duy Tan University, Ly Thi Men has aspired to become a good lawyer, with extensive knowledge and a firm grasp of the law to be able to help the disadvantaged in society or provide legal support for businesses to feel secure in their business and production.

In that spirit, from the beginning, Men has built for himself a serious learning path, determined to maintain his "form" to best realize his own wishes and aspirations. Not only studying hard, Men also participates in many competitions to "train his mind - train his heart", improve his knowledge and skills to be able to do a good job when entering the real career.
Most recently, Men demonstrated his excellent ability when participating in the Vietnam Commercial Mediation Competition 2025. This is a large-scale annual academic playground on Law jointly organized by the Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC) and the Vietnam Mediation Center (VMC), attracting 733 contestants from 201 teams from 28 universities and law training institutions across the country.
Accompanying the members of the "Run" team, Men participated in handling many competition situations related to legal disputes, including:
- Dispute over contract for cooperation in installation and supply of solar power
- Internal conflicts arise after the investment cooperation process
- Dispute over trademark ownership of a famous candy brand
Taking on the role of corporate lawyers, Men and his team carried out the task of protecting the legal rights and interests of the company their team was in charge of.
" This is a very difficult task because to do well in this role, the business representative not only needs to be solid in legal knowledge, but also flexible in 'soft' skills to both protect the interests of the business and avoid damaging the relationship with the other side. With that spirit, we always clearly define that: The goal is not 'win-lose', but 'win-win'. It is this approach that has helped our team protect the legitimate interests of customers in particular and win silver and bronze medals at the competition", said Ly Thi Men.

During the years of studying at Duy Tan University, Men not only focused on acquiring knowledge from important subjects such as: Civil Law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, etc. along with specialized skills subjects on Litigation and Critical Thinking, but also constantly sought out opportunities to gain professional experience to consolidate his knowledge base, practice logical thinking and form the necessary skills to confidently pursue a legal career.
Ly Thi Men always tries her best every day to improve herself and pursue the ideal she has chosen.
" Since the summer semester of my second year, I went to Son Tra District People's Court to do an internship and gained many valuable experiences. Here, I had direct contact with the trial process, studied real case files, drafted documents such as notices, decisions, judgments, etc., and learned how a judicial agency operates. Those days of internship became a real 'training ground' that helped me hone my ability to analyze files, make sharp legal arguments, and the professionalism required of a Law student ," Ly Thi Men shared.
Not only outstanding with many achievements in studying, Ly Thi Men also holds the role of Deputy Secretary of the Law Faculty Youth Union and President of the Law Faculty Youth Union. Men has led, organized and participated in many major Youth Union - Association activities of the Faculty and Duy Tan University such as " Love Moon ", " Warm Spring ", " International Day ", " Duy Tan Colors Festival ", " Labor Law Propaganda Program 2024 ",... and has been awarded many times for " Outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and student movement ".
For Ly Thi Men, all-night group study sessions with friends to solve complex legal situations or heated debates in class under the guidance of teachers about hot social issues have become memories that she will never forget.
