
On October 7, leaders of the Department of Statistics and Statistics of Hai Phong city worked with the People's Committees of Nguyen Luong Bang commune and Thach Khoi ward on the implementation and collection of information to compile a list of individual production and business establishments.

At the meeting, the People's Committees of communes and wards reported on the preparation of investigation areas, selection and number of investigators.
Accordingly, localities have selected investigators who are knowledgeable about the investigation area, with priority given to those living in the area, heads of residential groups or heads and deputy heads of villages. These are all responsible people who are proficient in using tablets and smartphones.
All investigators have been trained in the Economic Census organized by the City Statistics Department. The investigators are conducting the survey in accordance with the procedures and instructions of the statistics department, ensuring accurate information collection.

In the coming time, Hai Phong City Statistics will continue to coordinate with grassroots statistics to overcome software limitations and network congestion; support in-depth training and direct professional guidance at the grassroots level to ensure consistency in the way of recording forms, entering data and verifying information...

On October 8, the working group continued to work with An Bien and Hong Bang wards on the implementation and collection of information to compile a list of individual production and business establishments.
The 2026 Economic Census will be conducted nationwide to collect basic information on the current situation of production and business units, serving the assessment and development of socio-economic development policies of localities, the Party and the State in the new period.
The census focuses on collecting five main groups of information: identification information, industry and economic type of the unit; information on production and business conditions such as labor, assets and capital sources; results of production and business activities, including products, revenue and costs; the level of application of science and technology, especially information technology, digital economy and e-commerce in the unit's operations and other specialized information.
The information collection period will be divided into two phases: Phase 1 from January 5 to March 31, 2026; Phase 2 from April 1 to August 31, 2026.
Preliminary results of the census are expected to be announced in January 2027 and official results will be announced in the third quarter of 2027.
