Collecting information to build the National Strategy on Child Development in the new stage

The working delegation of the Department of Mothers and Children (Ministry of Health) had a working session with the People's Committee of Duc Trong commune, Lam Dong province to collect information, directly serving the development of the National Strategy on Child Development for the period 2026-2035, with a vision to 2045.

This is an important activity in the field survey series of the Department of Mothers and Children, aiming to comprehensively assess the situation of child care, protection and development in localities.

The working delegation listened to reports on the current situation of children in the area, including health care, nutrition, expanded immunization, newborn care and the situation of children in special circumstances, along with the difficulties and challenges that are arising.

The delegation also conducted field surveys at residential areas to assess the quality of health care services for children and pregnant women.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Chau Thi Minh Anh, Head of the Department of Maternal and Child Care - Department of Maternal and Child Care, acknowledged the efforts of Duc Trong commune in maternal and child care in recent times, especially maintaining vaccination rates and effectively implementing nutrition programs.

Ms. Minh Anh suggested that localities need to continue to strengthen inter-sectoral coordination, improve the quality of primary health care services and promote communication on child care, especially in the preparation phase for building and implementing the new national strategy.
