At the reception, Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet and Ambassador Marco Farani discussed bilateral relations, especially in the fields of economics , trade and investment.
Brazil is currently the largest economy in Latin America, ranked 8th in the world with rich natural resources, strongly developed agriculture and industry.
Brazil exports nearly $200 billion worth of natural gas, precious metals, coffee, soybeans and wood products annually. Brazil imports about $140 billion worth of machinery, vehicles, chemicals and food.
In terms of foreign affairs, Brazil focuses on promoting relations with neighboring countries and expanding influence in the Caribbean region, while playing an important role in many international organizations such as the United Nations (UN), the World Trade Organization (WTO), G20, BRICS, MERCOSUR and the Forum for East Asia - Latin America (FEALAC).
On this occasion, Ambassador Marco Farani, on behalf of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, presented a letter to President Luong Cuong, expressing his commitment to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
