Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang received the Minister of Federal and European Affairs in the government of the State of Hessen, Federal Republic of Germany.

On the afternoon of November 29, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs , Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang received and worked with Mr. Manfred Pentz, Minister of Federal and European Affairs in the government of the State of Hessen, Federal Republic of Germany to discuss a number of contents related to the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam.

Attending the reception and working session of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang with the Minister of Federal and European Affairs in the government of Hessen State, Federal Republic of Germany, on the side of the Ministry of Home Affairs were representatives of the leadership of the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Civil Servants - Public Employees, the Ministry Inspectorate, and the Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Speaking at the reception, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation to visit and work at the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam. The Deputy Minister informed about the basic contents of the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Home Affairs assigned by the Government , and at the same time informed about the key contents that Mr. Manfred Pentz - Minister of Federal and European Affairs in the government of Hessen State, Federal Republic of Germany was interested in about the experience of fighting bureaucracy, waste, and streamlining the state administrative apparatus that is being implemented synchronously from the central to local levels in Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang emphasized that Vietnam will soon enter a new era - the era of national development, which is the era of development, the era of prosperity, the era of prosperity under the leadership and rule of the Communist Party, successfully building a socialist Vietnam, a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization. In the strategic orientations to bring the country into the era of national development, General Secretary To Lam clearly stated the improvement of the Party's leadership method, streamlining the apparatus organization with the motto "The Central sets an example - Localities respond", in which the first thing is to rearrange the apparatus organization, the staff must be "lean - compact - strong, efficient, effective, efficient", associated with the task of accelerating breakthroughs, the new apparatus must be better than the old one and put into operation immediately, without interruption of work, without time gaps; without leaving areas and fields vacant; without affecting the normal activities of society and the people.

Agencies and organizations must have a set of assessment tools to clearly distinguish those who dare to think, dare to do, dare to innovate for the common good from those who are adventurous, reckless, fanciful, and unrealistic; have a protection mechanism for cases of risk and error early on, right from the time of proposing a plan; screen and remove from work those who do not have the qualities, capacity, or prestige; focus on training, fostering, and testing comrades who are planned to participate in Party committees and standing committees of Party committees at all levels, ensuring the selection of Party committees, especially leaders with leadership capacity, high fighting spirit, who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate for the common cause, have the capacity to lead the successful implementation of the Party's policies, and bring the Party's Resolution into practice in each field and locality. Continue to fight corruption strongly, while building a culture of preventing and combating waste; Make the practice of saving and anti-waste become "self-conscious", "voluntary", "daily food, drink, and clothing".

To successfully achieve those goals, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang said that Vietnam has determined that it needs great determination from the entire political system, the sacrifice of each cadre, party member, civil servant and public employee for the common cause, bringing the country into the Era of Rising, and at the same time, in that process, Vietnam needs support, exchange and experience sharing from international friends.

Speaking at the reception, Minister of Federal and European Affairs Manfred Pentz in the Hessen State government thanked the Vietnamese Ministry of Home Affairs for the warm welcome, and highly appreciated the full and rich content discussed by Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang on the process and orientation of restructuring the administrative apparatus from the central to local levels, on fighting corruption, bureaucracy, waste, and administrative reform in Vietnam today.

Minister Manfred Pentz suggested that the two agencies establish relations and exchange regularly, and agreed that the two agencies will exchange specific information through each side's international cooperation unit to develop content towards signing a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation as proposed by Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang on promoting the cooperation between the two agencies into reality, soon signing a Memorandum of Understanding as a basis for implementing delegation exchange activities, sharing and learning experiences in the coming time. Minister of Federal and European Affairs in the Hessen State Government Manfred Pentz also invited the leaders of the Vietnamese Ministry of Home Affairs to visit the Hessen State at an appropriate time.
