Prime Minister: 500kV transmission line project 'very commendable and proud'

The Government Office has just announced the Prime Minister's conclusion at a recent meeting with localities, with the content of promoting the progress of implementing the 500kV line 3 projects, connecting from Quang Trach ( Quang Binh ) to Pho Noi ( Hung Yen ).

In general, the Prime Minister emphasized that the 500kV line 3 project is a national key project, large-scale with a length of about 519 km of double circuit passing through 9 provinces. The project has a very large and massive construction volume, the construction time until completion must last from 3 to 4 years, similar to previously implemented projects. However, with the direct and drastic direction of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, the effective participation of the entire political system and local authorities at all levels to socio-political organizations; the consensus and unanimity of the people where the project passes through; the high determination, great efforts, drastic measures, and close adherence to the construction site of the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT)... have shortened the construction time of the projects.

"After nearly 6 months of construction, the project has achieved many positive results, ensuring technical and quality requirements. This is a very commendable and proud result, and also a lesson in leadership, direction, management, and implementation organization to apply to other large projects in localities and the country," the announcement stated.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the initiative and support of localities, the active participation of the entire local political system; the Ministry of Industry and Trade; EVN, EVNNPT, contractors, construction units and directly the engineers and workers at the construction site; the team of cadres, engineers and workers of units of the electricity sector across the country who came to support the project implementation; thanked the people in the localities who agreed to support the project, gave up their accommodation, farming land, production sites for the project, and actively participated in supporting logistics and transporting materials for the project construction... Up to now, the project is entering the final stage and needs to urgently complete the remaining work. The Prime Minister requested EVN and EVNNPT to organize a special, "sprint" and "lightning-speed" emulation campaign, mobilizing all forces to participate in order to complete the technical inspection and acceptance procedures and organize the inauguration of the project in July, in which it is necessary to do a good job of environmental restoration and sanitation; quickly stabilize the livelihoods of families where the project passes through so as not to affect production, business and the lives of local people.
