The Prime Minister suggested that the two sides continue to increase high-level exchanges and contacts; promote substantive cooperation in depth in various fields, including transport connectivity.

On October 23, on the occasion of attending the BRICS Leaders' Meeting held in Kazan, Russian Federation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a brief meeting with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed China's outstanding contributions to the BRICS mechanism, expressing his willingness to actively coordinate with BRICS member countries to further promote the role of developing countries in addressing global peace and development issues. Regarding the Vietnam-China bilateral relationship, the Prime Minister suggested that the two sides continue to increase high-level exchanges and contacts; promote substantive cooperation in all areas, including transport connectivity, especially prioritizing the acceleration of the implementation of three standard gauge railway lines connecting Vietnam with China, in order to promote connectivity between the two economies; coordinate well in organizing activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping sent his sincere thanks and regards to General Secretary To Lam and key leaders of Vietnam. He also congratulated Mr. Luong Cuong on his election as President.

Affirming the increasingly substantive and effective development trend of China-Vietnam relations, the General Secretary and President of China emphasized that in any circumstances, it is necessary to promote relations in the spirit of "four goods" and the high-level common perceptions that have been achieved.

Mr. Xi Jinping affirmed his willingness to maintain strategic exchanges with Vietnam, promote further deepening of substantive cooperation, and continuously deepen the China-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Community of Shared Future of strategic significance.

To promote connectivity between the two economies, General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping said he will direct relevant Chinese agencies to promote China-Vietnam traffic connectivity./.
