Expressing his pleasure at meeting the King of Jordan again after the meeting on the occasion of the Ocean Conference (June 2025), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh warmly welcomed King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein on his official visit to Vietnam, right on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1980 - 2025). The Prime Minister emphasized that the visit has historical significance in establishing a solid foundation, bringing the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries to a new stage, more substantial and effective, for the benefit of development and prosperity of the two peoples.
In the context of the rapidly changing situation in the world and the Middle East, the Prime Minister highly appreciated Jordan's role in creating peace in the region, as well as the valuable assistance that Jordan has given to the just struggle of the Palestinian people.
Congratulating the successful outcome of the talks between the King and President Luong Cuong, the Prime Minister expressed his hope that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries will enter a new phase of development, with higher political trust, deeper humanistic exchanges, and more substantial and effective economic cooperation.

King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein expressed his pleasure to meet Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh again - a close friend of the King, and thanked the Vietnamese leaders and people for the warm and respectful welcome given to the King and the high-ranking delegation of Jordan. The King emphasized Jordan's desire to strengthen its partnership with Vietnam in many fields, affirming that Vietnam is an important partner of Jordan in Southeast Asia, and Jordan is ready to become a gateway for Vietnamese goods to access the Middle East market.
Appreciating the similarities between Vietnam and Jordan, the King of Jordan affirmed that the two countries have great potential to learn and share experiences with each other, including important areas to help both sides cope with global challenges, notably in areas such as agriculture, technology, Halal industry development, etc. The King also suggested that both sides increase exchange activities between students of the two countries to effectively strengthen the bridge between the two countries and peoples.

To effectively implement the substantive results of the visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein agreed that the two countries need to continue to strengthen political trust through increasing contacts and exchanges of delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones, and promoting defense and security cooperation, and improving the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms between the two countries.
In the field of economics, trade and investment, the two sides agreed to promote cooperation on the basis of promoting the potential, strengths and development requirements of each country, including creating favorable conditions for each other's goods. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam is ready to create conditions for large Jordanian corporations to invest in Vietnam, and at the same time suggested that businesses of the two countries study the possibility of cooperation and joint investment, especially in the fields of infrastructure development, green economy, digital economy, telecommunications, production, agricultural processing, etc., promoting the connection of the startup ecosystem and innovation between the two countries.

Regarding agricultural cooperation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the two sides need to seek new cooperation models to improve efficiency and reduce production costs, such as implementing on-site export projects - a model that Vietnam has successfully implemented in a number of countries. The Prime Minister asked ministries, branches and businesses of both sides to soon discuss specifically about this cooperation direction. In addition, the Prime Minister also asked Jordan to increase support for Vietnam in developing the Halal industry. The King of Jordan said that the two countries can implement bilateral cooperation projects, as well as trilateral cooperation to improve the effectiveness of project implementation.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein also discussed measures to promote cooperation in the fields of education and training, people-to-people exchange, tourism, healthcare, and perfecting the legal framework. The King of Jordan said he would direct relevant agencies to research and soon grant scholarships to Vietnamese students to study Arabic at the request of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The two leaders agreed to continue promoting coordination and mutual support at important multilateral forums, especially at the United Nations. On this occasion, the two sides also discussed international and regional issues of mutual concern, including the East Sea issue.
