Accompanying the Prime Minister were Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Duc Thang; Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan; General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense, and leaders of ministries, branches and localities.
On the side of Dak Lak province, attending were comrades: Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

Hoa Thinh is one of the localities that suffered the most damage in the recent floods. Phu Huu village alone had many areas deeply flooded, in which the deeply flooded area of team 3 had 9 households with damaged houses, 6 houses completely collapsed.
The Prime Minister personally went to the scene, visited each household and gave gifts to encourage people to overcome difficulties.

Moved by the concern of the Party and the State, Ms. Le Thi Hien - a resident whose house was completely swept away by the flood - shared: "Our house was completely destroyed, my family could only flee the flood in despair. Today, the Prime Minister came to visit and encourage me, I was truly moved. In times of trouble, we clearly feel the concern of the Government and the State."
During his visit, the Prime Minister heard a report on the plan to build flood shelters for people in deeply flooded areas, ensuring safety and longevity. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for Party committees and authorities at all levels to devote all their efforts to caring for the people, promptly overcoming the consequences of floods and stabilizing their lives soon.

The Prime Minister directed that housing, food, clean water, and necessities must be ensured for the people; absolutely no one must go hungry, cold, or homeless. Households whose houses have collapsed or been severely damaged need support to repair, rebuild, and be safely resettled, striving to complete this before the Lunar New Year.
Regarding education, the Prime Minister noted that many children have lost all their books and school supplies; and classrooms have been damaged. Therefore, it is necessary to urgently restore schools so that children can return to class soon. Medical facilities also need to be repaired and equipped to ensure medical examination and treatment for people.

Along with that, the Prime Minister requested localities to urgently clean up the environment, repair schools; ensure medical examination and treatment, and prevent epidemics from occurring after the flood. The transportation, irrigation, electricity, water, and telecommunications systems must be restored quickly; production and business activities, especially agriculture, need to be supported to soon return to stability.
The Prime Minister called for solidarity, sharing and helping each other to soon stabilize life. At the same time, he asked the government to fully count the damage of each household so that the Party and State can have timely and appropriate support policies.

During his working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh came to burn incense, visit and share the loss with the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lui (77 years old), residing in Phu Huu village, Hoa Thinh commune. Mrs. Lui's family has just suffered a heavy loss when her husband - Mr. Nguyen Di (77 years old) - unfortunately died in the recent flood.
Visiting the family, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his sympathy for the great loss the family had suffered and sent his deepest condolences to Mrs. Lui and her relatives. The Prime Minister encouraged the family to overcome the grief and soon stabilize their lives.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented 120 gifts, and the Ministry of National Defense presented 120 gifts to people in the flood-affected area of Hoa Thinh.
