On the morning of May 28, during the working program in Ha Giang province, with the philosophy of "When drinking water, remember its source", Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation offered incense, paid tribute to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation, for the happiness of the people at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery in Ha Giang province.

Attending the ceremony were Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung; Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh; leaders of the ministries of: National Defense; Planning and Investment; Transport, Agriculture and Rural Development, Finance, Construction, Industry and Trade, Culture - Sports and Tourism, leaders of the Government Office and delegates in the Prime Minister's working delegation.

The Prime Minister laid a wreath at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery, Ha Giang province.

In the struggle for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland, millions of compatriots, cadres and soldiers across the country heroically fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

At the Vi Xuyen - Ha Giang front, in the battle to protect the northern border of the Fatherland, more than 4,000 officers and soldiers sacrificed heroically with the spirit of "Living on rocks to fight the enemy, dying on rocks to be immortal", they have forever remained on the land at the northernmost point; remaining with the beloved motherland, their feats and names have become immortal, engraved in the history of the nation and forever remembered in the minds of each generation of Vietnamese people.

In the sacred and emotional moment, before the majestic and sacred monument of the Fatherland at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery, Ha Giang province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation offered incense and flowers to express their sincere remembrance and infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs, the beloved children of the homeland from all over the country who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland, so that the country could be peaceful, prosperous and happy.

The delegation vows to forever remember the heroic martyrs' contributions, vows to be absolutely loyal to the goals and ideals of the Communist Party of Vietnam, forever follow the path chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and the people, vows to join hands and be determined to build the homeland and country to become more and more prosperous.

Also on the morning of May 28, in Ha Giang province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ceremony and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Ha Giang Provincial Museum.

The project to renovate and upgrade the Ha Giang Provincial Museum started construction in December 2020 with a total investment of more than 106 billion VND. The museum has an area of about 4,100 m2; the first floor is an area displaying artifacts and paintings, combining projection technology, reflecting the history of the land and people of Ha Giang from its formation to the period of opening the Happiness Road to the Dong Van Stone Plateau. The second floor uses sound and light technology to show the space of artifacts, people, culture, and beliefs of ethnic groups, along with the diversity of the flora and fauna ecosystem of Ha Giang.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ceremony and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Ha Giang Provincial Museum.

The Museum as a whole creates an open, modern space, but still retains the values and unique identity of Ha Giang. Thanks to that, people and visitors to the Museum can experience the whole picture of Ha Giang even without directly exploring each location on the province's tourist map.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the 1943 Vietnamese Culture Outline set out the task of developing a "national, scientific, and popular" Vietnamese culture; our Party determined that it is necessary to build and develop culture commensurate with politics, economy and society; General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also stated the viewpoint that "culture is the identity of a nation, if culture exists, the nation exists, if culture is lost, the nation is lost".

The Prime Minister emphasized that history and culture are the solid foundation of patriotic traditions, the source of national strength, the spiritual foundation, and important endogenous resources for sustainable development. In particular, museums are places to preserve and transmit the history and culture of the nation, serving the needs of scientific research, study, teaching, and dissemination of knowledge, and are places for public activities and cultural enjoyment.

In order for the Museum to truly promote its significance, value and effectiveness in preserving, promoting and transmitting the heroic and proud history and culture of Ha Giang in particular and of the Vietnamese people in general, the Prime Minister requested Ha Giang province to preserve, display and introduce existing artifacts well; at the same time, collect and add valuable artifacts related to the history and culture of the province. Strengthen promotional activities and introduce the Provincial Museum, especially in the digital environment.

Along with that, Ha Giang continues to focus on investing to perfect and constantly improve techniques, apply modern technology in preserving and introducing artifacts to enhance the experience and meet the increasing needs of tourists; regularly organize activities, exhibition events, cultural events at the museum, especially effectively connecting with schools to organize annual activities for students to study and participate in experiences; quickly deploy the construction of a walking route connecting to the Museum, creating a unique tourism product and developing the night-time economy in the province.

The Prime Minister hopes and believes that Ha Giang Museum will develop comprehensively, uniquely and effectively.
