Speaking at the program, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung stated that 70 seasons of Ban flowers ago, May 7, 1954, entered the national history as a Bach Dang, Chi Lang or Dong Da in the 20th century and entered world history as a brilliant feat, breaking through the colonial slave stronghold of imperialism.
The Dien Bien Phu victory affirmed the Party's correct and creative resistance line on resistance culture, national defense culture, highly promoting the spirit of patriotism, solidarity, unity, and readiness to sacrifice for the Fatherland of the entire heroic Vietnamese people.

The Minister stated that culture and art have the mission of cultivating viewpoints, perceptions, thoughts, emotions, and aesthetics for the majority of people. Approaching in that direction, using unique language, images, and artistic techniques, the art program depicts a period, aiming to connect the past, present, and future, depicting a period when the entire population followed the Party's call to go to war.
The typical songs in the program represent the epic of the 20th century, creating the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory "Resounding throughout the five continents, shaking the world", a brilliant golden milestone in the history of the nation.

Seventy years after the victory, Dien Bien in particular and Vietnam in general have grown strongly in all fields, becoming symbols and noble human values of conscience and world peace...
The special art program celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory is an event to pay tribute to heroes, martyrs and those who contributed to the revolution, demonstrating the nation's morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water"; at the same time contributing to strengthening the education of revolutionary traditions and the responsibility of generations, especially the young generation, towards the homeland.

The program brings a look at Dien Bien today, from the fierce battlefield of the past, today's generations are joining hands to build their homeland in the common development of the country with the spirit of pride in the past, looking towards the future, thereby sending a message about the aspiration for peace and development of the Vietnamese people.
The program “Dien Bien Phu - Golden Milestone of History” includes 14 performances, divided into 3 parts: “The People Go to Battle”, “The 20th Century Epic” and “Peaceful Rendezvous”.

The program uses modern technology to recreate a panoramic picture of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, bringing a sacred atmosphere right to the fierce battlefield of the past.
The stage was set up with a modern sound and lighting system, creating a solemn and tragic atmosphere to tell the touching and proud story of the legendary land of Dien Bien Phu.

The program has many special performances, elaborately staged, recreating the bicycle convoys transporting food and goods for the campaign; images of hundreds of soldiers pulling artillery into the Dien Bien Phu front; recreating the Him Lam battle that opened the Dien Bien Phu Campaign...
The art program ended with a brilliant high-altitude fireworks display.
