Speaking with doctors and nurses, the Prime Minister inquired about the emergency care situation during Tet; he encouraged the medical staff to make the most of the critical time, prioritize treatment first, and avoid causing any inconvenience to patients.
Reporting to the Prime Minister, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, stated: The hospital has determined that being on duty during Tet (Lunar New Year) is a "battle-ready" task, allowing no complacency and ensuring no passive response in any situation. The hospital is committed to the "three guarantees": ensuring sufficient medicine, blood, intravenous fluids, supplies, and equipment; ensuring uninterrupted emergency, resuscitation, and surgical services 24/7; and ensuring the security and safety of the hospital and patients.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivered a speech.
The hospital maintains a four-tiered duty roster: Leadership-Professional-Nursing-Logistics/Security, ensuring smooth command and control from the Board of Directors to each clinical and logistical position.

The hospital adheres to the "three no's" principle: No refusal of emergency care; No passing patients on to others; No systemic errors due to negligence; and is prepared for scenarios involving sudden surges in cases, disasters, and epidemics.
The hospital maintains a state of readiness with interdepartmental red alerts for multiple trauma situations and mass casualties; proactively deploying personnel according to the actual situation. At the same time, the hospital is highly vigilant against the risk of disease outbreaks, increasing surveillance and patient flow management; especially closely monitoring epidemiological warnings as directed by the Ministry of Health, including the risk posed by the Nipah virus.

Speaking with officials, doctors, and nurses at Bach Mai Hospital, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his delight at seeing that Bach Mai Hospital has inherited its professional traditions and is becoming stronger with "5 improvements": cleaner; better medical equipment; more scientific organization; more enthusiastic patients; free meals for patients; and the momentum and strength of Bach Mai Hospital are growing stronger. Stating that, along with other leading hospitals, Bach Mai Hospital is "the last resort for saving patients," the Prime Minister emphasized:

The common thought of sick people is to think of Bach Mai Hospital, but this very thought has become the brand of Bach Mai Hospital. It's the last glimmer of hope that patients have in mind when they think of Bach Mai Hospital. This is also the most prestigious title, more so than any other. When a person's last glimmer of hope in life comes, who do they think of if they need medical treatment? They think of A9, they think of Bach Mai Hospital.
Based on this brand, the Prime Minister raised concerns about people seeking medical examinations and treatment more frequently; along with worries about "hospital overcrowding"; and whether serious illnesses are on the rise… therefore, he requested the hospital to provide appropriate solutions to the situation.
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the achievements of the health sector in general and Bach Mai Hospital in particular in caring for and protecting the health and lives of the people in the past period.
Looking ahead, the Prime Minister requested Bach Mai Hospital to effectively implement Resolution 72 of the Politburo on some breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people's health; and to organize the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, focusing on improving the capacity for medical examination and treatment, controlling epidemics, and mastering advanced medical technology.
The Prime Minister requested the upgrading of facilities and the replanning of hospitals to be clean, beautiful, and spacious, with particular emphasis on Bach Mai Hospital as the final referral level, therefore requiring investment in modern equipment, but in a spirit of openness, transparency, and without embezzlement, corruption, or negative practices.
Besides digitizing and greening hospitals, the Prime Minister urged continuous improvement in the quality of medical staff and the enhancement of professional skills with the spirit of "profound medical theory, excellent medical skills, and rich medical ethics".
The Prime Minister urged Bach Mai Hospital to implement the "three no's": no inconvenience to patients, no disappointment to patients, and no missed opportunity to save patients, no matter how small.
Regarding the proposals from Bach Mai Hospital, the Prime Minister agreed in principle to the construction of facilities for Bach Mai Hospital; and requested that the upgrading of Bach Mai Medical College into Bach Mai University of Medicine and Pharmacy be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
