On the evening of November 17th (local time), in a warm and respectful atmosphere, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his pleasure at meeting former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a great friend of Vietnam, and appreciated the good feelings and sincere support that the former Prime Minister had given to Vietnam.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emotionally recalled the historic visit of former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser to Vietnam in May 2007, which brought about significant changes to Vietnam-Kuwait relations today, including the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex project.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam will always remember the pioneering role and dedication of former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser in making the two countries leading economic, investment, and development partners in the region.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh informed former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser about Vietnam's outstanding development achievements in recent years.
The Prime Minister affirmed that, with its new capabilities and position, Vietnam is ready to be a reliable and sustainable partner in Kuwait's economic diversification strategy, especially in the fields of energy, industry, supply chains, investment, and finance.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his confidence that the newly established Strategic Partnership will continue to develop, inheriting and building upon the valuable legacy laid by former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed his pleasure in welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, a "great friend" and "brother" of the country and people of Kuwait, and expressed his admiration for Vietnam, "the land of great things," most notably President Ho Chi Minh, who dedicated his entire life to the cause of national liberation.
Congratulating Vietnam on its significant achievements in recent years, the former Prime Minister stated that, with a foundation of determination and a willingness to overcome difficulties, the Vietnamese people have overcome all challenges in the 20th century and created "miracles" in the 21st century, becoming a country with significant political and economic influence in Asia.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah affirmed that the people of Kuwait will always remember Vietnam's balanced stance and commitment to justice during Kuwait's difficult times. The former Prime Minister also stated that Kuwaiti leaders have developed very long-term and specific strategies for cooperation with Vietnam, particularly regarding food security.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser affirmed that he will always continue to support and promote Vietnam-Kuwait relations in any capacity, for the benefit of the people of both countries and for peace, cooperation, and development in the region.
