On the morning of May 3, speaking with Thanh Nien reporter, Mr. Le Van Ho, Principal of Phu Luong 1 Primary School (Phu Luong Commune, Phu Vang District, Thua Thien- Hue ), said that the unit is working with the military to overcome the consequences of the storm last night, May 2.
The storm on the evening of May 2nd blew away many corrugated iron roofs of Phu Luong 1 Primary School.

According to Mr. Ho, after the storm, 6 classrooms had their roofs blown away. Heavy rain and storms also damaged the windows, main doors, and desks and chairs inside the classrooms. This morning (May 3), more than 200 students had to stay home from school.
"We are writing a report to the local authorities to request funding for repairs. Students will return to school this afternoon," said Mr. Ho.

Previously, at around 6:30 p.m. on May 2, in Thua Thien-Hue, a "golden" rain appeared to cool down after many days of peak heat of 42-43 degrees Celsius. However, the heavy rain was also accompanied by thunderstorms, causing many trees to fall.
That very night, authorities in many localities coordinated to clean up and ensure traffic safety for people.
Currently, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Thua Thien-Hue province is checking and calculating the damage caused by the storm on the evening of May 2.
