Promoting digital transformation in education and training

On November 12, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to organize a conference on digital transformation in education and training in An Giang province.

At the conference, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to sign a cooperation agreement on digital transformation, training, fostering, and professional support for the period 2026 - 2030.

The goal of digital transformation is to ensure data synchronization, interconnectivity and connection, helping horizontal (commune and ward level) and vertical (by sector) data reporting to be smooth and timely, moving towards connection to the national database.

The two sides will coordinate to conduct training, upgrade IT teachers to standard qualifications and foster digital capacity.

A survey of the digital capacity of 24,508 teachers in An Giang province shows that the teaching staff has a good foundation in basic information technology skills. However, there are still limitations in the capacity for in-depth digital transformation, especially the capacity to organize online teaching and learning, testing and evaluation using digital tools and awareness of data safety and security.

The province has organized AI training for more than 40,000 teachers to participate, initially accessing general knowledge about AI and becoming familiar with some technologies...
