On November 28, in Hue City, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the "National Conference on Energy Saving and Efficiency in 2025", with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Departments of Industry and Trade, Industrial Promotion Centers, institutes, schools and enterprises operating in the energy sector across the country.

At the conference, the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized: Using energy economically and efficiently is a key task contributing to ensuring energy security, promoting green transformation and realizing Vietnam's commitment to zero net emissions. 2025 is also the time to accelerate the implementation of the "National Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy for the 2019-2030 period" (VNEEP3); at the same time, implementing many new policies on energy conversion, emission reduction, and improving energy efficiency in industry, construction, transportation, services and households. Energy saving is not only a requirement for sustainable development, but also a practical solution to help reduce costs, improve the competitiveness of businesses, and contribute to ensuring national energy security.
The conference focused on presenting the results of the implementation of the VNEEP3 Program; updating new policies on energy saving and efficiency; sharing experiences from localities, including the report " Hue City's experience in promoting energy saving and efficiency". Experts and businesses introduced many new technology solutions, such as "Application of IoT - AI in monitoring and optimizing energy systems" as well as analyzing opportunities and challenges when implementing energy saving projects in the context of legal regulations being amended, supplemented and coming into effect in 2025.
