Receiving the delegation were Chairman Le Quang Hieu and General Director Vu Thi Suot of Bitexco Nam Long Joint Stock Company. During the meeting, the two sides had an in-depth discussion about investment and business opportunities and expanding trade cooperation in the textile and garment sector.

Bitexco Nam Long is a company with strengths in the fields of yarn production, cotton towels, and export textiles, with many years of experience supplying products to the international market. Currently, the company is importing cotton from India as a raw material for production and has expressed its desire to boost exports of high-end textile products to the Indian market in the near future.

Exchange ideas for substantive cooperation.

During the meeting, representatives from both sides focused on discussing the possibility of linking the Vietnam-India textile and garment supply chain, leveraging each other's complementary strengths. Vietnam has the capacity to produce, process, and export high-quality textile and garment products; while India has abundant cotton and yarn resources, along with a large consumer market.

Bitexco Nam Long's flagship products include cotton yarn, OE yarn, and premium towel lines such as bath towels, hand towels, and embroidered towels, serving the hotel, tourism , and high-end consumer segments. These are considered to have great potential in the Indian market, especially given the increasing demand for high-quality and environmentally friendly textile products.

The Role of the First Spring Fair

The visit and working session at Bitexco Nam Long took place in the context of the Spring Fair becoming an important forum for domestic and foreign businesses to connect, seek partners, and expand markets. Through a series of side activities at the fair, many concrete cooperation opportunities were opened up for businesses of both countries in the textile and garment industry.

The proactive efforts of the Vietnam Trade Office in India in connecting with and supporting the Indian delegation to attend the Spring Fair and organizing working sessions with Vietnamese businesses have contributed to creating favorable conditions for direct exchanges between the two sides, fostering a clear understanding of needs and potential for cooperation. This also demonstrates the role of the trade office in promoting Vietnam-India economic and trade cooperation in a substantive and effective manner.

Prospects for future cooperation

Both sides agreed that there is still significant potential for cooperation in the textile and garment industry between Vietnam and India, particularly in the areas of raw materials, production, processing, and export. Strengthening business connections and leveraging bilateral and regional cooperation mechanisms will contribute to increasing added value, diversifying markets, and enhancing the competitiveness of the textile and garment industries of both countries in the international market.
