Promoting international tour links from Hanoi to Lai Chau

On the morning of November 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province coordinated with the Department of Tourism of Hanoi city to organize a seminar on "Promoting the development of tourism tours connecting the international tourist market from Hanoi to Lai Chau".

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Director of Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Quang Khang emphasized: In recent years, Lai Chau tourism has gradually affirmed its position on the national tourism map with many typical products such as: Sin Suoi Ho ASEAN Community Tourism Village; paragliding adventure tourist destination "Flying on the roof of Indochina"; O Quy Ho Heaven Gate tourist area, Rong May Glass Bridge; trekking products on mountain peaks with the highlight of Rhododendron flower season. Currently, the province has 2 tourist areas, 21 provincial-level tourist destinations, 1 ASEAN community tourist destination and 138 accommodation establishments.

The purpose of the seminar is to contribute to expanding the tourism space, enhancing the image and brand of Lai Chau destination in the international market. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is committed to accompanying and creating favorable conditions to support Hanoi businesses in building and implementing tours with the goal of "Prosperous businesses - Developed Lai Chau".

At the seminar, delegates listened to travel agencies specializing in the international tourist market give advice and evaluate the advantages and difficulties in forming tour products connecting Hanoi - Lai Chau; at the same time, listened to the sharing of localities and tourist destinations about the community tourism model and efforts to attract tourists, especially international visitors.

Based on the discussion, delegates proposed many solutions to effectively exploit the connecting tour, such as: ensuring safety at Tac Tinh waterfall and Pusamcap cave; preserving cultural identity in community tourism villages, limiting concretization; focusing on environmental sanitation and landscape; training a team of professional tour guides, proficient in English, to meet the needs of international visitors.

On this occasion, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province presented gifts of local specialties to leaders of the Department of Tourism of Hanoi city.
