
Overview of the Conference
At the conference, representatives from various departments and agencies provided travel businesses and investors with information and investment policies for tourism development in the Ba Den Mountain area, such as: investment procedures and business registration; planning information related to the Ba Den Mountain area; issues regarding land use according to the 2024 Land Law and construction in agricultural tourism development; and issues related to vocational training for the service and tourism sectors. They also discussed the integration of trade and tourism to create a complete service ecosystem, enhancing visitor experiences and generating revenue for the locality, as well as extracurricular programs and activities related to local history, culture, and revolutionary traditions linked to tourism for students.

Simultaneously, representatives from travel businesses and relevant departments and localities focused on discussing and proposing numerous solutions and recommendations to address difficulties and obstacles, while maximizing the potential and advantages of the Ba Den Mountain area in tourism development. Most travel businesses believe that, in addition to focusing on developing the Ba Den Mountain tourist area, Tay Ninh also possesses significant advantages from its system of community-based tourism destinations at the foot of the mountain, creating favorable conditions to expand its appeal and retain tourists; the harmonious combination of key tourism destinations and surrounding community-based, ecological, and cultural tourism products will contribute to enhancing the experience and diversifying choices for tourists.

Travel businesses also suggested that Tay Ninh should regularly organize large-scale festivals and events such as the Ba Den Mountain Marathon and other unique cultural and sports programs to attract tourists to Tay Ninh. This would not only create a flow of tourists between localities but also contribute to the formation of a movement for experiencing and exploring, spreading the image of Tay Ninh through the widespread introduction of destinations, products, and unique local values. In addition, the locality needs to focus on investing in and upgrading transportation infrastructure, creating convenient connections between destinations; this would not only improve the capacity to serve tourists but also create more confidence and motivation for people and businesses to boldly invest and develop sustainable tourism.
In promoting tourism, travel businesses also suggested that Tay Ninh continue to proactively create opportunities for connection and organize hands-on experiences for travel businesses, as this is the most effective and practical method of promotion. Through surveys and direct experiences, travel agencies will have a basis to confidently develop and design tour products suitable for different customer groups, thereby expanding the potential for bringing tourists to Tay Ninh.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province, Nguyen Thanh Thanh, said that Tay Ninh is gradually realizing the goal of making tourism a key economic sector, linked with breakthrough solutions in socio-economic development in the 2025-2030 period, while aiming to build Tay Ninh into a unique cultural, spiritual, and ecological tourism center of the region. Tay Ninh also recognizes that the cooperation of businesses, people, and related sectors will be key factors in building an attractive and sustainable tourism environment, thereby not only attracting tourists but also creating a ripple effect for local economic development in the new phase.

Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Thanh Thanh, delivered a speech at the conference.
Faced with both immediate and long-term challenges, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to play a key coordinating role, working closely with other departments, localities, businesses, and investors to gradually overcome difficulties, improve mechanisms and policies, and enhance the effectiveness of tourism management and development in a synchronized and professional manner. Specifically, the Department will focus on reviewing and compiling recommendations from the conference to propose appropriate solutions; prioritizing the promotion of regional linkages, infrastructure connectivity, diversification of tourism products, and leveraging the value of the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area along with the surrounding community-based tourism, agricultural, and historical-cultural ecosystems.
Within the framework of the Conference, on May 13, 2026, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also organized a survey program of tourist destinations in the Ba Den Mountain area with the participation of representatives from 40 international and domestic travel businesses and media units. The aim was to create opportunities for networking, support travel businesses and media in experiencing new destinations and unique activities firsthand, in order to design tours, promote and introduce, and increase the competitiveness of Tay Ninh's tourism products.
