Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department increases coordination to support business households

(NLDO) - Many technology companies, consulting firms, and banks have increased solutions to help business households eliminate lump-sum tax and instead pay tax based on revenue.

To completely eliminate lump-sum tax and convert 100% of business households to the method of paying taxes by declaration from January 1, 2026, Ho Chi Minh City Tax has issued a plan for 60 peak days to convert the model from lump-sum tax to declaration for business households.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City tax authority strives to ensure that 345,893 (data as of October 31, 2025) business households paying lump-sum tax have access to information and receive support from the tax authority in converting from lump-sum tax method to declaration method.

To realize this plan, on November 14, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department together with Vietnam Tax Consulting Association, 4 commercial banks (Vietcombank, BIDV, Agribank , VietinBank), Vietnam Payment Solution Joint Stock Company (VNPAY) and Thai Son Technology Development Company signed a cooperation agreement on support solutions for business households.

Accordingly, VNPAY will deploy a preferential package until 2028 for comprehensive digital transformation for business households, including all essential services for declaration, management and payment activities.

Specifically, business households are free to use the VNPAY-Invoice electronic invoice software, with no limit on the number of invoices issued during the promotional period.

The VNPAY-TVAN system supporting the transmission of invoice data to tax authorities is also provided completely free of charge, with no limit on the number of transmissions; free storage of electronic invoices on the VNPAY Cloud platform for 10 years from the date of invoice issuance, helping to ensure data security and fully meet the requirements of management agencies.

In addition, VNPAY provides VNPAY-CA digital signatures according to the HSM model, allowing automatic signing with an unlimited number of signatures; at the same time supporting sales management and tax declaration software, free installation with unlimited quantity....
