Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Lo Van Phuong briefed the delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council on the socio -economic development situation in Dien Bien province; preparations for the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). At the same time, he expressed his gratitude from the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province to the cadres and people of Ho Chi Minh City for their support to Dien Bien in the past time. Dien Bien province will effectively use the capital resources that Ho Chi Minh City has donated; at the same time, carry out inspection and supervision work well so that the support resources can be effective and reach the beneficiaries. He hopes that in the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City will continue to pay attention to supporting Dien Bien province.
Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le shared the difficulties of Dien Bien province. With the spirit of turning towards Dien Bien, the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City will always accompany Dien Bien province in socio-economic development; ensuring social security in the coming time.
On this occasion, the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City supported Dien Bien province with 85 billion VND; of which 50 billion VND supported Dien Bien Dong district to build a rural power grid; 35 billion VND supported Dien Bien province to invest in building a number of items at the historical site of Hill E2; and presented 70 sets of computers (total value of 700 million VND) to Noong Het Secondary School, Dien Bien district.
