Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan chaired the 2025 General Staff commendation conference.

On the morning of November 26, the Emulation and Reward Council (TĐ-KT) of the General Staff met to consider rewards for 2025. Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the General Staff chaired the meeting.

Also attending were council members and representatives of a number of functional agencies of the General Staff.

At the conference, delegates discussed the following contents: Report on proposed rewards for Mass Work in 2025; report on proposed rewards for the Emulation Movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization", building "Good Mass Mobilization Unit" in 2025; report on proposed rewards for the Emulation Movement "Determined to Win" in 2025; report on proposed rewards for "Outstanding Cultural Unit" in 2025; report on proposed regular rewards for the third period in 2025.

In his concluding remarks, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan acknowledged the sense of responsibility and high unity of the council members during the discussion and review process. He emphasized that the reports presented at the conference basically met the requirements in terms of quantity and quality, especially in the context of 2025, which has many important tasks and events for the entire army.

Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan requested the Standing Committee of the Council to continue to closely review and ensure that the awarding process is objective and fair, avoiding emotional expressions. He emphasized that the awards must be true to their essence, contributing to encouraging the Emulation Movement for Victory throughout the General Staff.

The Chairman of the General Staff's Technical and Economic Council reminded the agencies to strengthen the discipline of document work, complete the documents and operational scenarios to ensure accuracy, and avoid technical errors during the approval process; requested the Standing Office of the Council to absorb opinions at the conference, complete the summary report to submit to the Central Military Commission according to regulations.
