Tien Phuoc: Farmers' Association at all levels builds 18 model new rural residential clusters

(QNO) - This afternoon, January 8, the Farmers' Association of Tien Phuoc district summarized the association's work and farmers' movement in 2023 and deployed tasks for 2024.

In 2023, the Farmers' Association of Tien Phuoc district mobilized 7,721 members to register for the title of good farmers in production and business; mobilized 560 farming households to implement Resolution 35 of the Provincial People's Council on developing garden economy and farm economy and accepted support for 370 households with a budget of more than 9 billion VND.

The Association coordinated with the District Social Policy Bank to create conditions for 2,511 households to borrow capital for economic development with a total outstanding loan of more than 144 billion VND. Capital from the Central Association, the province and the district also supported about 10 billion VND for farming households to borrow to develop production. The Association provided nearly 68 tons of fertilizer in the form of deferred payment for farmers to develop crops.

During the year, the District Farmers' Association coordinated to build 7 cooperative economic models, 5 cooperative groups, 11 professional associations, 7 professional branches in the agricultural sector, with a total of 331 members. Farmers' Associations at all levels built 18 model new rural residential clusters and 17 flower roads. Continued to effectively implement the program "Friday in the people", helping farmers gain more experience in production development.

On this occasion, the Farmers' Association of Tien Phuoc district rewarded 5 collectives and 5 individuals for excellently completing the tasks of the association and the farmers' movement in 2023; commended 3 collectives for successfully completing the loan capital targets entrusted from the district's Social Policy Bank.
