Received 500 million VND from Sacombank to support people affected by floods

On the afternoon of December 2, at the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee, Base 2 (Binh Kien Ward), a working delegation of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) came to present 500 million VND to support Dak Lak province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

The delegation included Mr. Hoang Linh, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Branch Region 11; Mr. Le Van Qua, Deputy Director of the Central and Central Highlands Region - Sacombank; Mr. Tran Hoang Nha, Director of Sacombank Phu Yen Branch.

Receiving the delegation were comrade Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Dao My, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office.

At the support handover ceremony, Director of Sacombank Phu Yen Branch Tran Hoang Nha said that the amount of 500 million VND supported by Sacombank Headquarters was to share some of the difficulties with the people of Dak Lak province after the recent historic floods. In addition, Sacombank Phu Yen Branch also mobilized officers, employees, relatives and customers to contribute an additional 300 million VND to give directly to the people of Hoa Thinh commune - a place heavily affected by natural disasters.

"We hope that this cooperation will help people soon stabilize their lives and overcome the difficult period ahead," Mr. Nha shared.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Thi Chien Hoa hopes that the bank will continue to accompany with practical support policies to help people restore production and business after natural disasters.

Comrade Huynh Thi Chien Hoa expressed her appreciation for the sentiments and hearts of Sacombank officers and employees who promptly turned to the people of Dak Lak who were facing difficulties due to natural disasters.

He said that recent floods have caused great damage to production and people's livelihoods, requiring a lot of resources to overcome. "We hope that the bank will continue to accompany us with practical support policies, creating conditions to help people and businesses restore production and business activities," the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Branch 11, Hoang Linh, said that the banking sector has directed credit institutions to synchronously deploy solutions to support customers affected by natural disasters, such as restructuring debt repayment terms, considering interest exemptions and reductions, maintaining debt groups and creating conditions for new loans to restore production...

Mr. Hoang Linh affirmed that the banking system will always accompany the local authorities and people in the process of overcoming consequences and rebuilding after natural disasters.
