(HNM) - The first tournament of the Hanoi Grandmaster - International Master Chess Tournament 2023 has just ended at the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center. The tournament was organized by the Vietnam Chess Federation in coordination with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports . In the International Grandmaster table, players competed in teams. In this table, the team of International Grandmaster Tran Tuan Minh - Swayams Mishra (India) - Priasmoro Novendra (Indonesia) ranked first.
In the International Masters group, Wynn Zaw Htun (Myanmar) scored 5.5 points to rank first. The Vietnamese player with the best result in this group was Bang Gia Huy (5 points, ranked fourth). Meanwhile, in the FIDE Masters group, Nguyen Nam Kiet of Vietnam won the number 1 position with 7.5 points.
The next tournament of the tournament system will take place from May 30 to June 3, also in Hanoi .
