From December 30 to January 1, the first Quang Nam Culinary Culture Festival with the theme "Quang Delicacies" will take place in Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province. The festival is organized by the Quang Nam Culinary Culture Association in coordination with the People's Committee of Hoi An City.

Attractive bowls of Quang noodles at the contest

Taking place throughout 3 days, the festival has outstanding activities such as displaying, introducing, experiencing culinary culture, OCOP products with nearly 50 booths from 18 localities in Quang Nam province and other provinces and cities. Cultural, artistic and culinary exchange activities; performances, promotion of Quang Nam's special dishes...

Notably, the festival will also host a contest called "Quang noodles typical of Quang region" with 100 participants. The contest will take place in 3 rounds including "preliminary" (December 30), "final" (December 31) and "final" (January 1) to find the Quang noodles considered the most typical of Quang region.

Typical dishes of Quang people

The challenge for the teams is that the cooking time is only 60 minutes, the teams are allowed to prepare the ingredients at home but are not allowed to marinate them in advance and are not allowed to use pre-prepared dishes to bring to the competition.

In particular, on a 100-point scale, good taste accounts for a maximum of 25 points while ingredients account for 30 points. This is an important factor to evaluate the characteristics that the Contest aims for.
