Man United make final offer for Mbeumo
According to journalist David Ornstein, Man United have submitted a final offer to Brentford to recruit Bryan Mbeumo: 65 million pounds ($84.5 million) plus 5 million pounds ($6.5 million) in additional fees. This is a price that is close to Brentford's request and could help break the deadlock.
Previously, the Red Devils had offered twice: 45 million pounds + 10 million in add-ons and 55 million + 7.5 million in add-ons, but were both rejected. Brentford wanted to receive more than the 62.5 million pounds (81.3 million USD) that Man United paid for Matheus Cunha.
Mbeumo has just one year left on his contract, but Brentford have the option to extend it by a further year. The Cameroon striker has also said he will only leave if Old Trafford is his destination.
AC Milan target Hojlund
According to Sky Italia, AC Milan are paying special attention to Rasmus Hojlund. The San Siro team is considering sending Man United an offer to buy the Danish striker early next week. However, the Rossoneri expect the Red Devils to agree to a "softer" price due to their current financial situation.
Hojlund is currently under contract with United until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend for a year. Despite falling short of expectations last season (14 goals in 62 games), the 22-year-old striker has insisted he wants to stay and compete for a starting spot. He joined the Old Trafford side from Atalanta for a fee of £72 million ($93.6 million).
In the context of the attack line not being able to liquidate names like Rashford, Antony, Garnacho or Sancho, Man United will find it difficult to let Hojlund leave at this time.
Galatasaray close in on Osimhen
Galatasaray are closing in on the signing of Victor Osimhen after reaching a preliminary agreement with Napoli. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Turkish side will pay €40 million ($44 million) up front, with the remaining €35 million ($38.5 million) due at the end of 2026.
Notably, Galatasaray are banned from selling Osimhen to any Serie A club for two years after the deal is completed – expected early next week.
Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and scored 26 goals in 30 games – an impressive return.
Inter Milan inquire about Lookman
Inter Milan have offered to loan Ademola Lookman from Atalanta with a 40 million euro ($44 million) buyout clause. However, Atalanta immediately rejected the offer.
The club at Gewiss Stadium announced that they would only accept selling Lookman if they received 50 million euros ($55 million) and did not want to put the 27-year-old player on any loan plan.
Ten Hag denies wanting to reunite with Antony
In response to rumors that Bayer Leverkusen wanted to sign Antony, coach Erik ten Hag responded directly: “I signed him twice. I consider Antony as my son.” However, he affirmed that he has no intention of re-signing his former student at this time: “Currently, we are not pursuing Antony. Maybe that will come in the future.”
Antony is among a group of players Man United want to sell, along with Garnacho, Rashford and Sancho. However, the high transfer fees and wages of this group make the negotiation process difficult.
Man City recruits young Norwegian talent
Manchester City have announced the signing of Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg for around £12.9 million ($16.8 million). The 18-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the Etihad Stadium side.
Nypan is a bright talent in Norwegian football, playing flexibly in the role of a deep-lying central midfielder, and can also move up to play as a winger. He has played 62 games for Rosenborg and scored 14 goals, despite only being born in 2006.
PSG recruits young goalkeeper from Roma
PSG have officially signed goalkeeper Renato Marin on a free transfer. He has signed a five-year contract with the French team.
Born in Brazil, Marin started his career in his home country before joining the AS Roma academy in 2020. After shining for the Under-17s, he was promoted to the first team in 2024, making 28 appearances – including six in the Europa League – under Claudio Ranieri. Marin has now acquired Italian citizenship and is a regular in the Azzurri youth teams.
