Leaders of the Provincial Women's Union visited the "Trusted Address" model in Trung Ha commune.

Established in August 2022, the "Trusted Address" model of Trung Tien commune, now Trung Ha commune (including Trung Tien, Trung Xuan and Trung Ha communes) located at the old Trung Tien commune Health Station is not only a place to provide legal aid, receive, support and timely notify victims of violence but also becomes a shelter, ensuring safety for victims and informants... This is also a place for women's association members to meet, share and resolve conflicts in family life, especially in the relationship between husband and wife.

The model was established and managed by the Commune People's Committee under Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" under the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2030, implemented by the Provincial Women's Union. The "Trusted Address" model operates based on 5 principles: Timely support, protection, and care for victims; ensuring absolute safety during the time victims are temporarily sheltered; keeping information confidential for victims; close coordination between sectors in the work of supporting, protecting, and caring for victims; confirming information about the incident to ensure accuracy.

Visiting the "Trusted Address" model in Trung Ha commune in mid-November 2025, we were told by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bac, deputy director of the "Trusted Address" commune: "Over the past 3 years, the model's "hotline" has only received information from 2 victims of domestic violence. Immediately after receiving the information, members of the "Trusted Address" went to the house to grasp the situation. The executive board of this model, including the commune police, women's union officials, prestigious people in the community... invited the victim's husband to work. At first, the husbands of the 2 victims were not very cooperative, the executive board explained, cited evidence and "reasonable" advice, encouraged the couple to live in harmony to raise their children to study, build family happiness, so the husbands understood and controlled their anger. Up to now, the victims' families have returned to harmony. In addition, the "Trusted Address" of Trung Ha commune also healed the feelings of 4 couples "The couple is at risk of breaking up."

Visiting the actual facilities of the model, we were surprised because the "Trusted Address" was arranged a fairly large room on the 2nd floor of the commune health station with full beds, blankets, pillows, wardrobes, pots, stoves, kettles, tables... so that victims who come to take refuge can have temporary living conditions during their stay here. Everything is still new because there have been "no visitors" for a long time.

To achieve the above results, the Executive Board and members of the "Trusted Address" model have been trained to improve their knowledge of the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence; reduce the situation of early marriage and consanguineous marriage and equipped with skills in propaganda, mobilization, and handling of situations at the grassroots level; the Commune Women's Union innovated the propaganda form of the model through conferences, competitions, skits, with videos , illustrations... to create vividness, help people understand and act correctly on gender equality; at the same time, support job referrals, increase income for women, reduce the causes of domestic violence...

Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Ha Thi Chuc commune added: "The model "Trusted Address" of the commune has effectively promoted consultation, support, and helped women in particular, helping the disadvantaged regain their rights and voices in the family. From specific cases that were promptly helped by the executive board and the Women's Union of the commune, up to now "Trusted Address" is always in a state of "deserted customers". This is a positive signal in implementing gender equality work in the locality".
