The 14th National Congress of the Party - A milestone opening a new era for the nation: Three strategic breakthroughs - the foundation for transforming the country's development model.

The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam took place against the backdrop of the country facing the need to transform its development model after nearly four decades of reform. The accumulated achievements in socio -economic development, international standing, and confidence in development both created an important foundation and placed greater pressure for further reform. In this context, the documents of the 14th National Congress identified three strategic breakthroughs: perfecting the development institutions; developing high-quality human resources; and building a synchronous and modern infrastructure. This is a strategic choice aimed at forming interconnected pillars, creating genuine development capacity for the country in the new period.

Vietnam's exports continue to set record figures, with export value reaching approximately US$470 billion in 2025, affirming its pivotal role in the economy. However, numerous challenges arise, from a heavy reliance on foreign investment, low added value, to the pressure for "greening" and the fragmentation of global trade. This necessitates a strong shift in export development towards domestic strength, depth, and sustainability in the new era.
