Vietnam Export: Opportunity to reach new heights at pivotal stage

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , as of mid-November 2025, Vietnam's import-export turnover reached 800 billion USD. With the current growth momentum, this year's total international trade turnover is expected to set a record of over 900 billion USD.
However, Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Director of the Institute for Brand Strategy and Competitiveness, analyzed that although the scale of trade is increasing rapidly, domestic added value is still low, and most of the profits in the export chain still fall into the foreign direct investment (FDI) sector.
From a market perspective, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) Tran Thanh Hai emphasized the need to improve quality standards and build brands, considering this a prerequisite to maintain prestige with traditional customers and penetrate new markets.
Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) Vu Ba Phu emphasized that export activities have entered a "pivotal phase", requiring all parties, especially businesses, to renew their thinking, upgrade their market approach methods and adapt to the increasingly high demands of developed markets.
Timely resolution of urgent social problems

Hanoi is focusing all resources on building a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" capital, green, smart, peaceful city where people have a happy life.
To realize this important goal, one of the important tasks that the city focuses on is to concentrate resources to completely resolve pressing public issues regarding urban order, environmental pollution, urban and suburban flooding, traffic congestion and food safety.
Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc pointed out that the city still has shortcomings that must be addressed immediately, especially the five issues directed by General Secretary To Lam at the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, such as: Urban order, environmental pollution, urban and suburban flooding, traffic congestion and food safety.
Therefore, in addition to completing the highest targets for 2025, all levels, sectors and localities must immediately implement immediate solutions to overcome the pressing problems that are the major problems of the capital, not to let them become more complicated and must gradually reduce them.
Opening the direction of energy transition of the Capital

Dr. Le Xuan Rao, Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Science and Technology Associations, said that rooftop solar power generation not only helps businesses reduce costs and the amount of electricity they have to buy from the grid during peak hours, but also contributes to reducing the load on the city's power system.
Deputy Head of the Energy Management Department (Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade) Nguyen Khai Van said that Hanoi's rooftop solar power capacity is still very low compared to the target of 894 MW allocated according to the National Power Development Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
Associate Professor Dr. Tran Van Top, former Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that Vietnam can aim to reach the target of 15,000 MWp of rooftop solar power in industrial zones by 2030, if there is a specialized decree to create a stable and long-term legal corridor.
Increasing the effectiveness of legal education in the capital's armed forces

Identifying the dissemination and education of law as a key task in the political and ideological building of the Capital's armed forces, the Party Committee of the Hanoi Capital Command regularly grasps the importance of dissemination and education of law, and directs the inclusion of legal content in Party activities and political and ideological activities.
Notably, the work of inspection, supervision and evaluation of results is focused, especially the monitoring of the level of disciplinary violations by officers and soldiers. The rate of regular disciplinary violations is very low (under 0.2%) and there are no serious violations.
Colonel Nguyen Van Huu, Political Commissar of the Hanoi Capital Command, emphasized: “For many consecutive years, the Party Committee of the Hanoi Capital Command has achieved the title of clean and strong; a typical strong unit. This partly reflects the effectiveness of the work of disseminating and educating the law.”
Resolutely handle violations of irrigation works

Nam Thang Long Urban Construction and Environment Joint Stock Company poured concrete on the bank surface, outer roof, and canal corridor; built brick walls on the bank surface; buried iron pillars, covered with corrugated iron roofs, built water tanks and many auxiliary items without permission from the competent authority, with a total area of up to 447 square meters.
According to statistics from the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, from the beginning of 2025 to now, there have been 274 violations of irrigation laws in the city. The system managed by the Song Nhue Irrigation Development Investment Company Limited alone recorded 184 cases.
Talking to reporters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Chairman of Phu Xuyen Commune People's Committee Bui Cong Than and Chairman of Hong Van Commune People's Committee Le Tuan Dung said that they have directed the specialized department to coordinate with the irrigation works management unit to complete the dossier and strictly handle violations, especially violations that directly affect the irrigation system in November and December.
